If you've noticed we've been quieter than usual lately, there's a reason. After a lot of thought and tears, we've made the difficult decision to close Gardella's Goodies.

When we started this business in 2024, the plan was for me to slowly build it while Lee's career supported us until Gardella's Goodies could support itself. But life had other plans...

The same week we received our commercial kitchen license and began production, Lee unexpectedly lost his job. We kept going because we believed in this dream deeply. When it happened again later that year, we found ourselves asking our little bakery to carry far more than we intended, much sooner than we imagined.

In addition, family health challenges have reminded us that time with the people you love is something you never get back.

So we've made the decision to close this chapter. We're heartbroken to say goodbye to something we've poured our hearts into...and excited for more time together. More weekends, more evenings, and more time with the people we love.

We're incredibly proud of what we built. Gardella's Goodies started as a tiny idea and took us places we never imagined. We partnered with amazing local businesses, met fellow incredible vendors, shipped cookies nationwide, and became part of so many birthdays, celebrations, holidays and “just because” days.

Thank you to our friends and family, local businesses, our vendor friends who became family, and everyone who bought a cookie, shared a post, recommended us or cheered us on ❤️ You made this dream possible!

Gardella's Goodies was a version of the dream for us, but our real dream has always been building a life we're excited to wake up to: one filled with adventure, time together, meaningful work, and the people we love.

We've learned that dreams don't have to last forever to be worth chasing. We'll never regret taking this chance on this dream and on ourselves. We're walking away with full hearts, lifelong memories and immense gratitude for the past 2+ years.

Whatever comes next, we're excited for it!

The forecast has improved dramatically over the past couple of days, and we're looking forward to a fantastic evening by the lake. After a wonderful opening market last week, we can't wait to do it all over again!
