Our UCSB chapter operates weekly, baking and selling delicious challah bread. Our chapter donates half of our proceeds to Santa Barbara PATH and the remaining profits to the national hunger relief program MAZON and Challah for Hunger charity. http://challahforhunger.org/donate/who-to-we-support/. For all volunteers and many of the customers, Challah for Hunger provides opportunities to be involved in a fun and dedicated community, become involved in humanitarian advocacy, develop and practice new skills (like baking and marketing), gain business and leadership experience, and engage in the Jewish traditions of tzedakah. http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Judaism/Tzedaka.html

Challah for Hunger is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
