SO much to celebrate! ❤️
Yesterday was my bakery assistant and delivery man’s birthday. He may be getting older, but he’s still a kid at heart. 😘 Of course, he requested sourdough, so we’ll be baking two Sourdough Lemon Cakes to celebrate twice—especially since we’ll have company visiting (and won’t be attending the first markets this season) 🍋🍰
We also reached 2,000 followers on this page, and what a sweet place to be.
As many of you know, I’m working toward cutting back to baking just once a week. If I have a market day or rain day or bakery cart day, you’ll always find those updates right here on my page.
The truth is, I’m already busy enough with regular orders that I don’t really advertise anymore. One day, I may even disappear from Facebook altogether. Having my phone number may end up being the best way to reach me in the future. 😊
When I started baking sourdough, I never intended to build a business. I simply wanted to bake and share. I love baking. Somewhere along the way, what started as sharing bread, knowledge, and starter turned into something much bigger than I ever imagined.
I’ve already surpassed every goal I ever had for this little bakery, and I’m incredibly grateful for all of you. Thank you for your patience, encouragement, and for giving me grace while I figured out how to keep this from becoming a business that runs me instead of something I genuinely enjoy.
I want to continue baking because I love it—not because I feel obligated to.
Thank you for supporting this journey, for sharing my bread with your families, and for allowing me the freedom to slow down and enjoy this season of life.
Things just keep getting better and better, and I am so grateful, humbled, and thankful—to all of you and to Him—for it all. ❤️
