Newfangled Confections Located downtown Indianapolis. We specialize in gluten free handcrafted candy. New-fashioned & delic Frittle Candy: This ain’t your grandma’s brittle.

Frittle combines the classic peanut-buttery sweetness of brittle crossed with peanut fudge. The result is a kinder, softer brittle with a crispy-creamy texture and just a hint of salt. (Gluten-free and vegan)

About Newfangled Confections:
Established in 2012, Newfangled Confections is a modern take on blast-from-the-past made with a dash of love and nostalgia in Indianapolis, IN. Candymaker Carrie Abbott’s modern take on grandma’s candy dish favorites is inspired by childhood memories including trips with her grandfather to Hook’s Drugstore in the late 1970s. Carrie has been on the food scene since 2008 as a caterer. After an experiment gone deliciously right involving a peanut butter dessert for a wedding reception, her signature candy Frittle was born. Carrie whips up all of her little sweet treats including pralines, sweet and spicy pecans, and seasonal candies in the Chatham Arch neighborhood in Indianapolis, where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
