π Vendor Spotlight: Kathy Stine π
If you've spent time at the Imlay City Farmers Market over the years, chances are you've met Kathy Stine. This season marks Kathy's 13th year as a vendor, making her one of the familiar faces that helps make our market feel like home.
What began as a small local craft show hobby quickly grew after friends encouraged Kathy to share her handmade creations with more people. She brought her talents to the Imlay City Farmers Market, and the rest is history.
Kathy's booth is packed with something for everyone. You'll find handmade jewelry, including necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, along with crocheted dishcloths and scrubbies, fun 3D-printed items, keychains, and small collectibles. If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to browse her selection of homemade baked goods, featuring breads, cookies, small pies, and her customer-favorite banana bread.
One thing that makes Kathy's booth unique is her creativity and willingness to try new things. Over the years, she has created more than 50 different flavors of jams and jellies, always looking for ways to offer customers something special and different.
When asked about her best sellers, Kathy didn't hesitate. Her famous banana bread continues to be a customer favorite, while her Italian Herb & Cheese Bread is one of her personal favorites. Among her handmade jewelry, earrings remain the top seller.
Kathy says one of the things she loves most about the Imlay City Farmers Market is the way vendors support one another and the joy of seeing customers discover unique items and great deals. It's that sense of community that keeps her coming back year after year.
This week, Kathy is excited to introduce a new baked good to her lineup: fresh pretzel rolls. Be sure to stop by her booth and give them a try!
