This weekend we’re taking a little break from the market to celebrate something much more important than bread and coffee—family. ❤️

Firefly Cottage Bakery has always been a family effort, and this young man has been part of the journey from the very beginning. From helping behind the scenes baking, shaping bread, learning how to be a barista, loading and unloading the car to cheering us on through the busy seasons, he’s helped make this little dream possible.

Today we’re celebrating his graduation and all the hard work that got him here. We’re so proud of the person he’s become and excited to see where life takes him next. His plan is to attend culinary school to become a bakery and pastry chef and eventually have his own bakery.

Congratulations, Graduate! 🎓✨

Well… small business life got us today. 😅

Unfortunately we will not be at the Rexburg Farmers Market after all. Our fridge door accidentally got left open overnight and a lot of our dough overproofed before we caught it. We’re really sorry to anyone who was planning to come see us there tomorrow.

The good news is we will still be at the Idaho Falls Farmers Market with bread available if anyone still wants to come grab a loaf and support us there. 💛

Thank you all for always being so understanding when little real-life things happen behind the scenes. Running a family bakery definitely keeps us humble sometimes.

Last call for Wednesday Porch Pick-Up — orders close tonight for May 20th! ✨🍞

If you’ve been thinking about grabbing fresh sourdough, pizza crusts, cookies, herb dip mixes, or drinks from the menu, this is your reminder to get those orders in before we close preorders. Porch pickup is Wednesday from 1pm–5pm, and once ordering closes, that’s it for this bake day!

Hey friends 💛

We wanted to give everyone a little update on what our summer schedule will look like.

After a lot of thought, we’ve decided that we will only be doing the Idaho Falls Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9am–2pm and dropping in at the Shelley’s farmer market occasionally moving forward. So no Rexburg Farmers Market, this Friday May 22nd will be our last.

We’ve also decided to bring back weekly porch pickups every Wednesday beginning in June — which honestly feels a little more manageable and sustainable for our family and small business right now.

You’ll still be able to order all your favorites:
✨ Sourdough bread
✨ Herb bread dips
✨ Cookies
✨ Pizza crusts

Truthfully, we may have bitten off a little more than we could chew trying to do all the markets, events, baking, and coffee cart all at once. We’re learning as we go, and we want to make sure we can keep showing up consistently without running ourselves completely into the ground.

We’re incredibly grateful for every single person who supports this little bakery of ours. Thank you for sticking with us as we figure out what works best for both our family and our business. 💛

We hope to see you at porch pickup Wednesdays and at the Idaho Falls Farmers Market on Saturdays and Shelley Market on Thursdays (keep an eye on schedule updates)! ✨

Great news everyone!

Along with our fresh sourdough and baked goods, you can now order:
🍕 Sourdough pizza crusts
🌿 Our herb bread dip mixes

Perfect for an easy dinner night, cozy snack board, or pairing with your favorite loaf of sourdough. Just add olive oil to the herb mixes and enjoy with warm bread for the simplest little treat.

Porch pickup is every other Wednesday, and orders can be placed through the link in bio. Order deadlines are Monday nights before the Wednesday of pick up by 9pm.
