I was blessed to be able to gift these cute bridal shower cookies to an amazing sweet bride! These are classy and elegant just like her! 🎀 The brides sister (who is one of my dear friends) came over and helped make the cake pops!

I’m competing this weekend in the fine arts category for Awana clubs. Our theme this year was “He Leads Me” with the key verses from Psalm 23. I was so glad to find out I could make cookies because I have discovered that I am much better at making art with food rather than with actual art supplies! Each piece of artwork must include a formal write up of how the art piece correlates to the theme and verse so I thought I’d share that with y’all as well!

“God’s plans are always better than ours. But many of us have tried to take our future into our own hands and hold firm to what we think should happen. Our human nature is very stubborn and we often think that our ways are better but God’s word reminds us that His plans are greater and that we need to make Him our Shepherd. We need to let God direct our ways and trust that He will lead us to where we need to go even if we don’t see what He’s doing or why He is doing it. We can trust that He will always work it for our good and when we trust and follow where He leads us it will be more bountiful and better than we could have ever imagined.”

I had the privilege of testing out my teaching skills with a dear friend of mine this week! She and her valentine love to play Catan and she asked me if I could help her make these fun cookies to gift to him! I’m very impressed with how fast she picked everything up and she did absolutely amazing!

Hey y’all! If you’re wanting some delicious sweets there’s a bake sale at Watersprings school gym. I hobbled around the kitchen and made homemade cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting and made decorated sugar cookies to look like little pumpkin pie slices! All proceeds go to fundraising for Awana Club state and national competitions.

If you’re wanting something a little hearty and savory they are also hosting a chili cook off from 11:00-12:30 where you can vote for the best chili! (Which is my moms 😂)

If you didn’t know…I can do cake pops as well! Cake pops can be simple and cute! The bear cake pops were for a sweet little baby shower last July! The other cake pops were for a fun hangout with friends at the end of the summer!

Man it’s been a while! I had a busy summer with serving at a nearby Christian camp then the fall brought school and a knee dislocation and then surgery on my ankle. I still have a long recovery ahead of me but I am dying to get back in the kitchen! I’ve had a lot of time on my hands while sitting around while recovering and I can’t wait for the day to try some new recipes I’ve found and to try new ideas that I have. I’m also getting business cards printed with the new logo I made!
