🌱🥒 POP CLUB WEEK 17: PLANT POWER! 🌿🍵
This Saturday we’re discovering just how much plants can do — we can eat them, drink them, preserve them, and use them to help keep our bodies healthy and strong!
🌿 FARM PHARMACY — Explore how plants nourish and support our health, learn about foods like apples, honey, sourdough, eggs, herbs, hummus and more, and discover some of the ways farms use plants for people, animals AND the land.
🥒 MAKE YOUR OWN PICKLES! Kids will pack their own jar with fresh cucumbers, dill & garlic from Fino Farms while learning how pickling and fermenting help us preserve the harvest instead of letting seasonal food go to waste.
🍵 WHAT’S THE FARM TEA? Smell, touch and identify different herbs, learn what they’ve traditionally been used for, and make your own herbal tea bag to take home!
And because it’s POP Club, every participating child also receives $2 in POP Bucks to spend on fresh produce at the market! 🥕💚
This is exactly what POP is all about — getting kids touching, tasting, making, asking questions and learning where their food comes from.
