A huge thank you to Caroline for ALL she has done to support and grow Kayak Cookies. She’s moving on to her dream of teaching kids and she could not be better for that role. She is an excellent baker, unbelievably organized, and has become a good friend to us. Thankfully you will find her some nights at the big oven. You are a gem! ❤️

Many of you know that Kayak Cookies was started in DC over 20 years ago. Fast forward to 2008 when I moved to the Cape to be close to the sea and grow the business. How to maintain a presence in my hometown became the question. The answer was simple… friends at Teaism became the makers of the beloved Salty Oat. With an agreement to follow Kayak’s recipe (it’s secret!) they became and remain the ones who make them there today! I am beyond grateful for their expertise and commitment to making the same great cookie we began with years ago. Thank you isn’t enough to Linda, Michelle, Arpad, Max and so many others!!! Next time you are in DC pop in to one of their locations for a cup of tea and a Salty Oat!
