My vision behind Scuttlebutts. To put it simply, I wanted to create something I felt was missing: the hometown feel of exceptional customer service that our community needs. Based on my travels, I believe this approach would be welcomed in any community, and I am constantly looking for best practices to implement. Backed by a quality product, I feel we have the perfect recipe for success.
After 11 years of business in Hutchinson, Kansas, we have recently started roasting our own coffee. This has brought a new level of excitement to both the community and our employees. With my 20+ years of experience and passion in the coffee industry, the coffee industry has been an amazing fit. Life is too short to drink bad coffee.
Beyond having a strong business plan for success, Scuttlebutts prides itself on being an employer of choice, resulting in very little employee turnover. Given our foundations, I believe we offer a successful franchise opportunity for the right investors. Although I don't feel I'm ready for that. I would entertain the opportunity to talk. My thought process goes to a place where I feel the message I've worked so hard to protect would get lost in the corporate America way of thinking. We are not the next big drive-through coffee shop. We offer a connection within our community that people want to visit, enjoy the surroundings, and feel comfortable bringing a friend.
Thank you to DSGP/Clayworks and your amazing team. This collaboration has been beneficial to both of our organizations while meeting vital needs within our community.
The campus and its continuous updates are truly impressive; there is no other facility like it. Furthermore, DSGP/Clayworks has a unique vision for working with clients, enabling them to learn valuable skills and become truly entrepreneurial.
None of this would be possible without the continued support of the Hutchinson community. Although the community was initially a little slow to warm up to the concept of a coffee shop in a shared building, the partnership has proven to be mutually beneficial through the services we both offer.
I'm not 100% sure why I started this message, but I felt it is always good to let the people around you know that you appreciate them and to say Thanks for all you do! If you haven't visited our location, please do so. You will not be disappointed.
