β€οΈ A Little Heart-to-Heart From Sherelleβs Kitchen β€οΈ
I want to take a moment to share something from my heart because I donβt think people always realize just how much love, time, effort, and dedication go into everything I create. β€οΈ
When I say everything I make is made with love, I truly mean that.
When I bake a cake, Iβm not just mixing ingredients and putting something in the oven. Iβm putting my heart into every layer, every filling, every swirl of buttercream, and every little detail. When I decorate a cake, I treat it as if itβs for my own child, my own family member, or my own special occasion. Your celebration matters to me, and I want you to feel that with every bite and every detail.
And when it comes to cooking? Iβm cooking from SCRATCH! π©π½βπ³
Iβm not opening a bunch of boxes, throwing things together, sprinkling on whatever seasoning I can find, and calling it homemade.
Iβm washing, cleaning, peeling, chopping, deveining, marinating, seasoning, prepping, cooking, and tasting. Iβm building flavors, not just heating up food.
One of the biggest differences between my kitchen and many commercial restaurants is that Iβm not receiving everything manufactured, preportioned, prewashed, or ready to pop into an oven. A lot of what I serve starts with raw ingredients, two hands, a whole lot of preparation, and a genuine passion for what I do.
And that takes TIME.
Something else I want people to understand is that I donβt price my food or cakes with the intention of getting rich off anyone. I genuinely try to keep my prices fair, reasonable, and affordable while still providing the quality, freshness, and personal attention that I believe every customer deserves.
But behind every quote, there are expenses that people donβt always see.
Itβs not just the cost of the chicken, the flour, the butter, or the seafood. Itβs the ingredients, supplies, electricity, equipment, packaging, preparation, decorating, cleanup, travel time, delivery, and sometimes additional staff.
And most importantly, itβs my TIME, my SKILL, and my LABOR.
If you ever feel that a price Iβve quoted is too high, I encourage you to research what truly goes into preparing that order from beginning to end. Not because Iβm offended by questions about pricing, but because I want people to understand the value of handmade, homemade, and personally prepared food.
I understand that everyone has a budget, and I respect that. I will never look down on someone for not being able to afford something. Iβm always willing to discuss options that may better fit your budget without compromising the quality of my work.
But affordable should never mean that someoneβs hard work isnβt valuable. β€οΈ
Sherelleβs Kitchen isnβt a big corporation. Itβs a dream that Iβm building with my own hands, one cake, one meal, one event, and one customer at a time.
There are late nights, early mornings, tired feet, aching hands, missed family time, and moments when Iβm completely exhausted. But then I see the smile on someoneβs face when they receive their cake, hear how much their family enjoyed a meal, or get a message telling me how much they loved something I created.
And THAT is what makes it all worth it. π₯Ήβ€οΈ
Iβm not just selling food. Iβm sharing a piece of my passion, my creativity, my dedication, and my heart.
To everyone who has ordered, shared a post, recommended my business, left a review, or simply encouraged me along the way, THANK YOU! You are helping me turn something I love into something bigger than I ever imagined.
I may not be the cheapest option, and I may not be the most expensive, but I can promise you that I will never intentionally sacrifice quality, care, or love just to make a sale.
Because at the end of the day, my name is attached to everything that leaves my kitchen, and that means something to me.
Sincerely,
Sherelle
