7 inch and 5 inch two tier Conventional Butter Pecan cake layered with a rich and tangy Brown Sugar and Butter Pecan Buttercream, and decorated in Vanilla Buttercream. Not my original design, but decorated to look like the movie WICKED, which I still haven't seen yet. However, I did listen to the entire soundtrack in multiple languages while decorating. Hearing the song "Popular" in what I could only assume is Japanese and German, as well as English was quite interesting.

8 inch and 10 inch Conventional Lemon Blueberry cake, layered with White Chocolate Buttercream and decorated in Vanilla Buttercream. Decorated with palette knife painted Zinnias, Dahlias, Peonies, Violets and Hydrangeas. This design took 2 full days to decorate, it was pretty intense but in the end I was so proud of what I created.

I hurt my rotator cuffs last week and have been taking it easy so I'd be ready for my next major bakes. I almost cancelled making all the sweets for 4 different family members birthdays which we planned to celebrate all at once. My sister agreed to be my chef for the day and did anything that wasn't "taking it easy". I prepped the pie crust, did part of the decorating and all the cleanup and knowing when to pull from the oven. She did all the hard work and the fun bits. I don't sell pies or cheesecake, so the only thing pictured here that I sell, is the cake. But I wanted to share all these yummy bakes we made together. Pictured here is a Lemon Meringue Pie, a Triple Berry Pie, the best New York Cheesecake I've ever had, and an 8 inch Conventional Orange and Tasmanian Pepper Cake, which tastes similar to Orange Poppyseed, but with hints of fruity, floral, and earthy notes from the pepper. It's not spicy when in a cake, but the pepper by itself is spicy. It's absolutely divine and I definitely recommend trying it out.

This is a Conventional Lavender and Rosemary cake with Lemon Cream Cheese frosting. Carved to look like Pinhead from Hell raiser. I made the pins separately with ultra thin pretzels dipped in chocolate. I personally liked the way he looked without them so I left them on the side as an option to use or not to use. 4 layer, 6 inch Conventional Dr. Pepper flavored cake with Dr. Pepper buttercream. Basically, it's a heavily Spiced, mild Chocolate cake with Cherries, Plums and Dr. Pepper baked into the cake. The buttercream is made with Ginger, Dr. Pepper reduction, Cherry reduction, and Chocolate. The cake is decorated to look like a giant can of Dr. Pepper, covered in ice with a buttercream soda stream pouring onto the cake and dripping down the sides from an upturned can of soda. The ice is made from Isomalt, a sugar substitute that is often used for elements of cake decorating. This was my first time using Isomalt and quickly realized there's alot to learn behind the technique. Ice was a good medium to learn through as any imperfections can only help the design. It is often used for making realistic eyes, so for something as detailed as that, im far from being ready for that, but I cannot wait until I can master that skill as well!

I love being asked to learn something new. First square cake 💟 this is a 7 inch Conventional Death By Chocolate cake and made for a Minecraft fan for his birthday. I'll admit I've never played or seen mine craft, so I don't know much about it, but I know plenty of people who love it so I must be missing out. I have been closed to have time to unpack and settle in to the new place. This was my last cake before moving my kitchen. I'm behind on posting this so I'm now almost fully unpacked and will be reopening in just a few short days. It's a 2 tier 8 inch and 6 inch Gluten Free Carrot Cake with Vegan Cream Cheese Frosting. The design was inspired by Frida Kahlo. The Mexican style embroidery design was free handed and made up as I went, but originally inspired by a few small pieces of actual Mexican embroidered clothing. While the idea behind this design is not my own, I found ways to make it uniquely my own. As I decorated this cake, I was listening to multiple podcast episodes about her entire life history and learned about Picasso giving her the hand earrings she often painted herself wearing, so I added them on to the final design. She lived an absolutely rich and revolutionary life and it was fascinating to learn so much about her and most especially her being so openly q***r. I have grown a new and deep respect for her and her work.

6 inch heart shaped Conventional Black Forest cake which is a Chocolate Cake soaked with a Cherry Liqueur simple syrup, layered with a Whipped Chocolate Mascarpone Frosting and slivers of dark Cherries, and decorated with Vanilla and Chocolate Buttercream. Decorated as a celestial themed cake in navy blue, indigo and black, with stars, edible glitter and Chocolate stars and moons and painted with a natural edible gold luster dust made from beta carotene. So much fun with this one!
