Happy mid-June everyone,

Can't believe we're almost at summer - of course with the heat and humidity, it sure already feels like it! So far, June has been a busy month to celebrate birthdays, and especially for two very special little girls.

Our dear friend Connie has two beautiful twin granddaughters, Emmie and Ellie, and they just turned 3-years old this past week. Connie asked for a special cake to help fit in with their "princess" theme, so I made a Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and covered with pink and pastel flowers. They had a great party and really enjoyed the cake - such pretty little girls.

Thanks to Connie and her daughter Alex for asking me to be a part of the special celebration!

Hello everyone,

This past weekend I was blessed to make a few dozen cupcakes for a very special little boy's 3rd birthday party - Cooper. His mom (Angie) asked for Strawberry, Vanilla, and Chocolate cupcakes to celebrate the occasion - each dozen had the matching flavor of buttercream frosting. Then Angie added some super fun toppers to each cupcake - they had Cooper's picture and some of his favorite trucks and other vehicles. Just so cute! As you can see in one of the pictures, I think Cooper approved of the cupcakes 😁😁 It was my pleasure to help them celebrate his birthday.

Hello everyone,

This past weekend, I had the honor of helping a very special couple celebrate their marriage - Mark and Maddie. The cake and cupcakes were for the groom and he requested a Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and chocolate chips in the sponge, red velvet crumbles, and chocolate curls on top. Then he also wanted cupcakes in flavors of Lemon with lemon buttercream, Brown Sugar cupcakes with salted caramel buttercream frosting, and Vanilla Almond with strawberry jam filling and strawberry jam buttercream.

The wedding venue, Burritt on the Mountain, was absolutely stunning! It just so happened that the weather was perfect that night - low humidity and mild temperatures - and the view of Huntsville from the bluff was amazing.

Thank you Mark, Maddie, and Lydia (Mark's mom) for asking me to be a part of the special occasion. Wishing Mark and Maddie a lifetime of happiness!

Hello everyone,

Sharing some baking for a very special one year old birthday party this weekend. My friend Camilla asked for a Vanilla smash-cake and some Chocolate and Vanilla cupcakes for her granddaughter's 1st birthday. Camilla gave me a picture of what she wanted, and I made the cake to match, and then she put on the "duck" topper - - so very cute!

Hello everyone and welcome to June!

Summer's about here and it's a good time for some refreshing flavors. This past week I made some Strawberry cupcakes filled with homemade strawberry jam and topped with strawberry buttercream frosting. My sweet friend Jackie from church asked for those to celebrate another special friend's (Paula) birthday.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the High School graduates this week!

Sharing some baking from last week - it was a busy one!

My friend Camilla asked for a cake for her husband David's birthday - a Vanilla Almond cake with vanilla almond buttercream and blue star accents.

A new friend Dianna asked for a special cake and cookies for her mother's 90th birthday - a Vanilla Almond cake with vanilla almond buttercream and decorated with pink roses and flowers. The cookies were vanilla almond in flower shapes and some with 90 and painted with gold accents.

Another new friend Lydia asked for some special desserts for her soon-to-be daugher in law's wedding shower - some Lemon Petit Fours and Raspberry Thumbprint cookies. The petit fours were two layers, with lemon buttercream and lemon curd sandwiched in between. Such fun to make!

Happy Mother's Day weekend to all the Mom's out there!

Special thanks to my sweet friend Angie for asking me to make her milestone birthday cake. It was a star-shaped vanilla sponge with pink vanilla buttercream frosting accented with pink luster dust.

Hello everyone and hope your week is having a good start,

Sharing a cake from last week - my sweet friend Lana asked for a birthday cake for her husband Keith. He asked for Red Velvet with Cream Cheese frosting with red velvet cake crumbles on the sides - his favorite! It is a little challenging to write with frosting directly onto a cake, but it turned out well!
