Sorry to be so quiet - life has been a bit hectic and I haven’t made very many cakes over the last few months.

I’ve watched make pom-pom cakes and I couldn’t get them out of my head. I had been wanting to give it a go for a while, and I finally made it happen.

I think this cake came out super cute, even if the cake is a little small for the poms 😂! I can’t wait to recreate this look at Christmas time on a larger cake!

I am forever inspired and impressed by the cake artistry I see on the Instagram pages I follow. While I save so many different cake designs and technique ideas to attempt on my own, trying new things can be intimidating! A while back, posted a sweet daisy wreath design and I couldn’t get it out of my head… so here I am trying it on my own.

Was it perfect? No. Is it ever? NO!
Am I glad I did it?? Absofreakinlutely.

Try the new technique.
Invest time in developing your skills.
Buttercream isn’t permanent.

Trying to not always go to the same, tried snd true, swirl/dollop technique to decorate my cakes - and I’m loving the ribbon… it’s so satisfying! And the colors.. I can’t handle how much I love this blue.
