They may even run into a whole bunch of women farmers and ranchers, as this week is the International Year of the Woman Farmer ACE Summit.

Happy Friday from your friends at The Moose Roost Bakery & Coffee Shop, 329 4th Street in Hugo! Lovin’ this moisture!! I appreciate “A misty, moisty, morning, when cloudy was the weather.” Those were the opening words to a song my mom sang to us when we were little. I sang it to my kids and have sung it to my grandkids, too. It always comes to mind in weather like this.

We are looking forward to being open tomorrow morning during the livestock judging competition. We will have breakfast burritos and baked goods, along with plenty of coffee, to help you through the day.

We had an eventful weekend, keeping to raise money for Veteran’s mental health. If you have t been to Victor to see Rita the Rock Planter Troll…. Make sure to visit her! We attended our grandson’s baseball game, got some stuff done around the house, and hosted the ice cream social at the Hedlund House Museum.
