Terri's Whoopie Pies

It was with sadness I make this post. My Aunt Terri passed away at 4:10 AM this morning after a long hard fought battle with Ovarian Cancer. She passed peacefully at the Gate House in her sleep.

For those who may want to attend I will make sure to post funeral arrangements as soon as we have it coordinated.

Thank you all for supporting my Aunt through the years! You made her dream come true of being a baker!!! She is going to be deeply missed my many none no more than us ❤️

Terri’s Services will be held on Friday May 24th at McCartys Funeral Home in Hughesville. Friends may call from 10 am - 11 am with services at 11:00. Terri is being cremated so at this time there is no grave side service. This will come at a later date with just immediate family.

We ask instead of flowers that a donation be made to The Gatehouse. They were wonderful with Terri, with meme, my dad, everyone … they were with Terri till the end and we are all very grateful to them for their kindness and love during such a difficult time.

Next Friday and Saturday 7-19 & 20 we will be selling some Whoopie Pies and Other Goodies out of our Enclosed Front Porch. Plus we will also have a few Church Cookbooks to sell. 12074 rt 220 hwy in Glen Mawr just 7 miles out of Hughesville. We will be open 10am to 6pm. Stop by and say hi. 10% of all money made will go to Abigail Browns birthday fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Hospital. Hope to see you!

My church, Tivoli United Methodist, has written a cookbook. There are many wonderful recipes inside as well as my Pumpkin Whoopie Pie recipe. I am asked for this one all the time so there it is. If you would like to purchase a cookbook, contact me through facebook and this page and I can put you intouch with the person in charge of selling them. It will be the best $10 you've spent in a long time. It also will make a great gift as well!

We will be doing some business in July so if you need any whoopies let me know. Our next event will be at Dushore Founders Day on August 10th. It's an all day event so if you have never been you have go to come see the OUTHOUSE RACES! Good food and good fun, stop by and say HI!

It's a new year for us. Dan is doing great and we are ready for business. Our first event is Early Bird Expo at the Bloomsburg Fair Grounds next week. We missed several events last fall due to Dan's operation but he is ready to go. So if you need a whoopee pie fix or just want to say hi, stop over. I think I have given the wrong impression to some of my Foodies.
I'm getting a lot of calls to stop in and buy some of pies or calls to order for the holiday's. If I have the time I will take on some special orders but this year that is not possible. As most of you know I lost my dad in October and I got behind with 3 fundraisers. Those numbers were very large and I had to tell several people that I couldn't bake extra for their Thanksgiving. Also we don't keep whoopie pies on hand for folks to just stop in and purchase. We do events and fundraisers and once in a while I may have time to do something special for someone.
You, my foodie fans, have made Terri's Whoopie Pies the most popular whoopie pies in the area and for that mater out side of our area. I can't thank you enough! I can't believe what we do can make so many people happy! YOU ARE THE BEST FOODIES EVER!!!!! P.S. Watch for new flavors!

My neice is still looking for teams for her golf tournament = she needs 7 more 4 man teams -- this is a great cause -- my father, ashey's grandfather is currently dying from his 4th relapse to cancer, help Ashley support the American cancer society and be a part of helping find a cure. This means a lot to me and to our family.

If there is anyone interested in sponsoring a hole for my neices golf tournament to support the American Cancer Society, Please contact Ashley Brown. The sponsors are $100.00 a hole and she provides the sign for the hole, can read however you want it to. Also she is expecting items and baskets as donations for a chinese and silent auction. This is very important to our family as Cancer has become a large role in our life. Please help out in anyway you can. Golfing is $75.00 per person with full meal included, limited Beer, and prizes.
