I've been quiet on here, like it's been suddenly more quiet in our home. I had to step away from business for a bit to process the sudden loss of my soul dog, Miss Rose. Oh my gosh was she the best girl ever. She filled our home with so much joy and laughter. And we had so many fun adventures together going on road trips all over the Midwest and Gulf coast. My life is fuller for having her in it, and I'm so grateful for the 12 very good years we were able to spend together.

I'm working my way through my grief cleaning and organizing. I can't be the only one who processes upsetting feelings this way? I'm running out of rooms to tackle. So I'll be back at it in kitchen, updating our online menu this week with our holiday specials. Stay tuned.

Super excited about our collaboration with Reata Cellars this weekend with a fun "Flights with Pie" event. It's like butterscotch pie and pumpkin pie had a baby, and that baby eats like a flan. Gorgeous creamy, luscious texture and a flavour profile that can't be beat. If you had a Flight with Pie - drop me a note, I'd love to hear your tasting notes!

And if you find yourself still scrambling for a dessert option for Thanksgiving - we can still accommodate some last minute pie orders! I'll drop the link to the website below. Please note -- our site has trouble processing orders if you're on an i-Phone. We're trying to work out the compatibility problem with our hosting company. PC or Android phones work fine with the ordering system and your can call us directly to place an order.
