Customer comes in today and says how happy she was when she bought our pound cake. She talked about how long she’s been looking for a pound cake that tastes like her grandmother used to make. I told her we hear that a lot. I wondered why. She said that it’s probably the butter. That sounds about right. If you’re looking for a taste of nostalgia, maybe this is the pound cake you’ve been searching for. She said she was going to go home and throw out the inferior one she has in her fridge.
