Hi everyone! you must be wondering what's up after the wedding! The Artisan Cake is looking into changing our WHOLE business model! We want to start catering to a healthier lifestyle that Yoga has helped me to discover! For now we are no longer taking orders and will be taking this time to be doing new research and building new recipes that will be ALL preservative free, natural ingredients with more fruits, less heavy buttercreams and more towards LIGHTER contemporary desserts!! We are so excited for this change and so should you!

Hello friends!!!! Here's a quick update! It's been a crazy month so far, and I am getting married in TWO months so please bear with me as the Artisan Cake is going through some big changes. Thank you for your patience! This one woman team is doing the best she can :)

Here are two graduation cakes with cakepops that I made for Friday and Today! Both cakes are from scratch red velvet with cream cheese and the cakepop flavors are vanilla, tiramisu, and redvelvet! It was fun to experiment with the tiramisu flavor. (I mixed some of my cream cheese with my vanilla bean cake recipe and added some coffee syrup dipped in white chocolate! nom.)

I know I've been underground folks, but BEST BELIEVE that The Artisan Cake is making MOVES. We are currently streamlining production and getting SUPER organized (not to mention healing from a snowboarding injury). You'll get to see a lot more new projects now so stay TUNED!

Here's a double order I just finished, I wish I had a bit more time with these cakes but it was the order on Mon and I got started on Tuesday so I had to do a little rush job, plus my arm is about at 55% at this point and I was having a hard time with my usual movements which I really didn't expect. I still really enjoyed making them nonetheless!! I LOVE minecraft!!! I hope I get to do another and more elaborate minecraft cake in the future, I will definitely really go down the the pixel on my next one ;0)

As a Baking and Pastry Chef I have had professional hands-on training in bread and pastries, traditional and modern french desserts, as well as "show piece" creation with chocolate, pastillage, and various sugar sculpting mediums & techniques.

Hello beautiful people! Wanted to make an announcement that the Artisan Cake will NOT be taking orders for the month of Feb to March 10th because Chef Ash will be in California & the Philippines!! Thank you so much for your patience! I will leave ya'll with a cake tip, the last cake tip should have been #8 so here's #9!

Cake Tip #9: Use a pastry brush to line your pans with butter & flour lightly after for maximum ease for separation when your cake is done, the worst thing is to have one side of your cake sticking to the pan and the other side coming off. This results in a broken cake and it will be difficult to build your layers with broken pieces. (Not impossible though)

HELLO GUYS!!! Sorry I have not posted in a while, the thing is I'm getting married and it's been crazy trying to juggle the planning and the cake making! So to make up for it here is a detail oriented album of pictures of a sculpted Plants vs. Zombies cake I finished yesterday! I had so much fun making all the little figurines out of marshmallow fondant (no molds used). I even did some research by playing the game and it's quite addicting! The flavor is chocolate chocolate cake and yes the house is also all cake covered in white modeling chocolate :D Let me know what you guys think! Have a wonderful sunday ya'll!
