Baking because therapy is expensive… and murder is illegal. 😂🍰

Some people journal. Some people meditate. Me? I pull out the mixer, turn on the oven, and let the buttercream handle the rest. Baking is my peace, my passion, my creative outlet, and sometimes my full emotional support system. Every cake, cupcake, treat box, and custom dessert is made with love, a little stress, a lot of prayer, and just enough sass to keep it cute.

It’s funny how the world works sometimes. One of the girls I grew up with in church has a daughter who bakes back home in Mississippi, and when I tell you her work is amazing… I mean AMAZING.

No professional training. No big culinary school background. Just raw, God-given talent, creativity, and hands that were clearly blessed for this. Her talent is truly impeccable, and I always make sure to encourage her to keep going because when you see a gift like that, you have to speak life into it.

She has even helped me out with recipes and baking tips, so this past weekend while I was home for my goddaughter’s graduation, I made it a point to stop by and meet her in person. I was so excited to support her business and purchase some of her daily specials — cupcakes! I bought three cupcakes, and she blessed me with three more, plus the strawberry Swiss roll cupcakes.

Let me just say this… the packaging was beautiful, the customer service was amazing, and the taste was everything it needed to be and more. You can tell when something is made with love, pride, and purpose.

I also got to meet her precious little girl, and already knowing her grandma, I can honestly say that life is such a blessing. It made my heart so full to see another young woman walking in her gift, building something beautiful, and doing it with grace.

I wish nothing but the absolute best for this young lady and everything her future holds. I truly believe bigger doors are coming. One day I’m going to be watching her on Food Network saying, “I knew it!” I’m speaking it into existence for her now.

Keep baking. Keep believing. Keep showing up. Your gift is going to make room for you.

Being a cake artist is truly a journey 😂🎂

You get the message: “Can you make this cake for 2–3 servings?”
Meanwhile, the inspiration photo is a 4-tier masterpiece with flowers, gold details, and a whole production attached to it. 😩

Then there’s the person who asks for a quote, you take the time to price everything out… and suddenly they disappear like the cake was never discussed. 👻

Or the famous, “Let me check with my husband,” after asking for the price… ma’am, we both already know he is not making the final cake decision. 😂

But through all the questions, the ghosting, the champagne taste on a cupcake budget, and the last-minute requests… I still absolutely love what I do. 💕

I love turning ideas into edible art. I love creating cakes that become part of someone’s special memories. And no matter how wild the inquiry may be, making beautiful cakes will always be my happy place.

Because at the end of the day, I’m not just making cake… I’m creating moments, memories, and a little sweetness for every celebration. 🎂✨

My goddaughter graduated, and although I was not going to be able to attend the party, Godmomma was definitely still going to show up in the sweetest way possible! 💜

I flew in with 300 treats and less than 8 hours to bring this Willie Wonka-themed graduation cake to life. No full setup. No full supply stash. No familiar equipment. Just pressure, creativity, love, and a whole lot of “make it work” energy! 🍬🎓

And baby… Godmomma made it happen! This cake was giving pure imagination, golden ticket, candy factory magic, and graduate celebration all in one! Every detail was made with love because my girl deserved something just as sweet and special as this moment.
