Hi all…We want to take this opportunity to thank you for being our customers. We have enjoyed (nearly 😉) every moment preparing bread and pastries for you. Wael (not yet) and I (ready at any moment) are “ready to retire”, but never fear! We have sold the bakery to a lovely couple whose intention it is to continue in the same vein; organic, clean, preservative-free artisan products. There will be some changes, naturally, like more open hours and product tweaks, but we are confident that they will deliver the quality that you expect. It’s been wonderful serving you for the last nearly nine years at the bakery and 13+ years at the farmers’ market. We will miss you, but we are leaving you in capable hands, and we hope you form relationships with the new owners. We’ve been fortunate to get to know you
and we are grateful to have been a part of your lives, however small.

Our own beloved Valerie, my head baker, right hand and dear friend, will be staying on, and I will be here some until the end of June.

Hello everyone! We will be skipping the Urban Harvest Farmers’ Market this Saturday. We hope to see you at the bakery at 965 Pinemont Dr 77018, from 7:30-noon. We have some sweet little cakes for Mom, or just for you!

Someone asked today if we are closing. I’m not at all sure where that rumor started, but on the contrary. We will start opening more days and hours soon. We’ll keep you posted!

Good morning! We have an immediate opening for a pastry cook, who will also assist our customers in the retail bakery. The hours are Tuesday through Friday mornings, beginning at 6:30 am and ending around noon. Help on ocassional Saturdays may be needed. The hours we are open and the days of the week we are open will more than likely increase over the next several months, but this is what we need right now. I am willing to hire someone who only helps our customers in the retail area, instead of a combination of pastry cook and counter assistance. The person must be neat, friendly, outgoing, helpful and have a professional appearance. If you know of someone, please have them email me at [email protected]. The bakery is located at 965 Pinemont Dr, 77018.

I am also looking for Saturday morning help at the farmers’ market held at St John’s School from 7:30-noon, every Saturday, rain or shine. Please email the address above.

We are sorry, but we will not be open again this Friday, January 20. Please visit us on Saturday this week. We will be at the Urban Harvest Farmers’ Market at St John’s School on Saturday, from 8-noon, with limited quantities because of the rain forecast. Thank you all for your continued support.

We are open Friday and Saturday this week. We apologize; the vendor we use for our website and for online ordering has failed miserably and we are migrating our ordering to another vendor. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept online orders.

We will not have our usual Saturday menu, but here's a list of what we will have, until we run out. This is for SATURDAY only. We have a limited menu on Friday. Please call the bakery for questions about availability (832) 940-2129.

The menu for Saturday is our all organic white sourdough, pain de campagne (30% organic sprouted whole wheat to 70% organic unbleached, unbromated white), baguettes and bags of demi baguettes and multigrain loaves.

We will also have your favorite freshly baked pastries.
