We are again running our soft ice cream machine. So if you are craving some, come on by for chocolate, vanilla, or the twist. Sounds like we might have some milder temperatures for a couple days, so ice cream might fit your menu!🍦

We are here at the store. We may choose not to stay open longer than the middle of the afternoon, especially if not many venture to come see us out here in the country. The snow is cleared in front of the store thanks to neighbor Paul Weaver & the roads are good for getting here. Just have to watch out for icy spots.

Hope everyone is doing well out there. We didn’t lose power out here. We feel like we have gotten by very well, but things are slick & slippery out here. We decided to be closed today. We are thinking we will open tomorrow morning possibly about 8:00 and stay open into the afternoon sometime. Hope you all have a good day & stay safe!

Our neighbor Sharon here at the store had some special company to enjoy breakfast with this morning- her brother from California and her niece and husband from Arizona. I looked out the door of the store and saw them sitting in the yard eating their breakfast. I decided this is too cute. I need a picture!! Most of the breakfast had come from our store. We enjoy neighbor Sharon!

Speaking of the ice cream machine, my husband has worked on it, but he has not been able to get it to start cooling. He thinks a.switch might be the problem. We decided it is in our best interests to buy a new one. This time we are purchasing a floor model which means it will not be as high to pour in the mix and to put the water through for cleaning. That will be so much more convenient. And having one that is on wheels will be so much better when we want to move it to service it. So the new machine is due to arrive late next week or early the next week. Possibly we will have soft ice cream before March is over!

Sorry folks! I said we would have soft ice cream today, but the machine keeps cutting off. I can hear a fan on the motor that starts and cuts off soon. Then the machine soon stops. Really my boys would tell me not to try to figure out what is wrong! They never had confidence in my mechanical abilities. The next step is my husband needs to look at it. So I don’t know when we will have ice cream.
