As if Vintage Market Days of Vermont prep wasn’t already about to make this one of our busiest weeks of the year… apparently we’ve added squirrel security to the to-do list. 🫠🐿️

Our little thief has officially helped himself to TWO packaged treats from the stand, so now we’re scrambling to figure out how to squirrel-proof everything while still keeping the stand cute, easy to shop & self-serve.

So… HELP. 😂 We need your best humane, squirrel-safe ideas for keeping him away from the treats! As much as he’s driving us crazy, we absolutely don’t want to hurt the little guy, we’d just really like him to stop committing bakery crimes. 😂

In the meantime, we’ll be prepping like crazy for Vintage Market Days Rutland AND trying to stay one step ahead of our newest customer… who has yet to pay his tab. 🙄🍪

Sometimes I forget that behind The Batch, it’s just one person wearing ALL the hats. 🤍

Between baking, prepping, packaging, running the stand, getting ready for events, and everything else that happens behind the scenes, I unfortunately didn’t get everything done that I needed to in order to open the farm stand this Friday.

So, the stand will be CLOSED FRIDAY while I finish getting ready for our event at Mt. Snow on Saturday!

Depending on what we have left after the event, we may pop the stand open Saturday night and/or Sunday with some extras. 🍪

I’ll keep you posted here if we do!
