Hey there friends! We would like to announce with great pride, much excitement and unprecedented levels of anxiety that we have a brick and mortar shop in the works! Like a real one! In Hood River!
The last nearly four years here have absolutely flown by for us and looking back on it all, it has been an absolute joy to bake for you. We were welcomed to the gorge with open arms and warm smiles making us feel immediately at home. We’ve been working tirelessly since the beginning and as of next month (May) we have a lease on a new space! That means buying equipment, remodeling, paperwork, meetings, meetings and more meetings are in our immediate future.
Being a small business, and a relatively young one at that, we have been working on a lot of different funding options to bring this plan to fruition, and that’s what leads us here today. We’ve decided to crowdfund part of our budget for arguably the most important piece of equipment for our little bakery; the deck oven itself!
We are looking to raise $25,000 through GoFundMe over the next several weeks to bring in a large, steam injected monster of an oven in order to keep up with our demand and expand our capacity here in the Columbia River Gorge. This will allow us to continue serving you all every weekend , grow our relationships in other restaurants and staples in the area AND tack on some retail so all of our friends can get fresh bread throughout the week!
This bakery space has been a dream of ours for much longer than the last four years and the time is nigh! We appreciate all of the support we have received from everybody and we are SO excited to involve the community in this crucial piece of the puzzle.
