We are Kris and David McAdams of Honeyville Acres located in Honeyville, Utah. Honeyville Acres is a family-owned small-scale grower of heirloom garlic. Our mission is to produce high quality garlic for eating and for growing. Year after year, we plant the cloves from our crop to cultivate vibrant and flavorful garlic bulbs. Our garlic is grown using organic methods and lots of love. Our garlic is

available to purchase from our website or directly from our family farm from harvest through the planting season, July- October. On our website, you will find resources to help you in your garlic growing and a fun mix of items in our farm store. Honeyville Acres is located in Northern Utah nestled right against the mountains. We have cold winters and hot, dry summers. Our crops are watered by the canals of the Bear River, which flows through the corners of Wyoming, Idaho and Utah and is fed by snowpack. We are located in USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 6B. We offer a selection of softneck and hardneck varieties, which are well acclimated to our climate.

It’s time for us to start planning for fall planting! We’re about two months out from getting those cloves in the ground and tucked in for the winter.

First on the list:
✔️Soil Testing

We’re rotating to a new plot this year, so a soil test will give us a good start with determining what amendments we need for big, beautiful garlic.

If you’re in need of a soil test, Utah Home & Gardening Tips does a fantastic job!

Dang near stepped on this snake while out irrigating! 🐍

We rarely see them around our place, and thankfully, this guy is harmless. Still gave me a good startle! 😂

Much respect to those of you who have scary snakes to watch out for! 😳

Fresh Garlic vs. Cured Garlic

Ever wonder why we don’t sell our garlic straight from the field?

Freshly harvested garlic is moist, tender, and full of flavor but it’s not ready for long-term storage.

That’s where curing comes in. We carefully dry our garlic so the outer layers of the bulb become a natural protective wrapper, helping preserve the cloves and extend storage life.

After curing, each bulb is trimmed and brushed clean, revealing the beautiful garlic you see at the market.

Stay tuned for our next reel- we’ll take you behind the scenes of our garlic curing process! 🧄

We’ll be at our hometown farmers market tonight 🫶

We hope to see all of our Box Elder County friends there. There’s something special about getting to share what we grow with our own community.

We’re about halfway through our market season, so now is a great time to stock up on fresh, flavorful garlic for all your fall cooking. Once this year’s harvest is gone, it’s gone!
