A Baker’s Special on a Tuesday?!?

Sure why not, any excuse for this bread will do. Jalapeño and cheddar are a classic combo, but (of course) we do ours a little... “extra.”

We’ve roasted off a mix of jalapeños, passilla peppers, and white onion with some Mexican spices. Combined that with a mix of smoked and sharp cheddar and folded it all into our naturally-yeasted Artisan dough.

Fresh-baked loaves will be available tomorrow morning (May 5) at Wild Honey Bistro, 9-2, or until sold out.

Love our bread, but can’t make it down to the cafe (and don’t want to wait in the longer lines in Summer)? Well now you can get your City Bear Bread fix at Save U More grocery in Homer!

Will be stocking new bread daily (except Monday). See the baking schedule attached. New loaves out between 2-4 daily.

We are so grateful and humbled by the response we have received from the community since we started baking out of Wild Honey Bistro three years ago. And we are excited to be able to offer locally-baked, naturally-yeasted breads to the broader Homer community.

Olive Rosemary is back, and a couple focaccia pull-apart trays for this week’s Baker’s Special.

Springing forward, but still needing something cozy to get you through the chilly season? Well, City Bear has you covered!

Baker’s Specials this week include two decadent and cozy Focaccia Pull-Aparts. These are soft, fluffy, the right amount of sweet and 100% naturally yeasted (of course!):

- Chai Maple - house made chai spice (not too mild, not too peppery, just right), turbinado sugar, and maple icing

- Mango Coconut - the perfect dessert for dreaming of tropical beaches while sitting in front of the wood stove. Mango juice flavors the dough and the icing, with coconut flakes and coconut milk adding to the creaminess.

Chocolate Porter Heart loaves - this loaf was such a hit when we rolled it out a few weeks ago, so we’ve brought it back in a mini-loaf made for two. Come get a sample, but be warned this bread is addictive. $8

Valentine’s Day cookie boxes - a baker’s dozen gluten-free treats, including White Chocolate Sumac Hearts, Cranberry Walnut Orange Shortbread, and Italian Almond Macaroons. $25

Sourdough Pretzel Footballs - the perfect centerpiece and oh so tasty. 100% sourdough (of course). These smelled amazing in the oven and pair well with uncle Dan’s cheese dip that he still won’t give you the recipe (stupid uncle Dan!). $8

Sourdough Garden Focaccia - don’t be the guy that brings cups; instead spike the breadboard with our classic sourdough focaccia with roasted garlic, tomatoes, and asparagus. $10

Sourdough Cornbread - your signature chili deserves better than cornbread from a box. Make sure you get that extra point and pick up a tray of our sourdough cornbread. $8
