Sourdough must be tended. Its living culture must be nourished well. It must be worked with intention. Doing so yields a bread with depth鈥攆lavors that unfold like a bouquet. Its crumb has strength and can stand boldly, yet remains soft.

However, if neglected, sourdough becomes acidic. Its flavor becomes overwhelmingly bitter and shallow. Its crumb grows weak and dense.

The same is true of our minds. They must be fed good things and intentionally cultivated, lest they too become bitter, weak, and lacking in depth.

When we live and think with intention, we allow God to build up our hearts. We become better able to withstand the weight of life. A pleasing fragrance begins to rise from within us, and we develop depth, endurance, and an inextinguishable joy.

Bread does not become beautiful by accident, nor does the mind. Both are shaped through steady care, patient work, and faithful nourishment. May we tend our hearts well, and let God bring forth something beautiful.

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable鈥攊f anything is excellent or praiseworthy鈥攖hink about such things."

Our flavor-packed Blueberry Jalapeno bread was a hit this week! It's unique, but it just makes sense, and balances brilliantly.

This will definitely be added to the "Make Again" list!

We also had great feedback on our Strawberry Muffin Sourdough Focaccia from last week, with one dear customer sharing that " it's tasted like a strawberry funnel cake!"

It'll also be featured again in the future.

Hello friends,

I'd like to take a moment to honor this man right here- my dad. You've likely seen him at market here and there- because he's our biggest supporter.

He's the bringer of sweatshirts when it's cold.
He gathers product to sell off-site.
He fills in whenever and however he's needed.
He's a friend.
He's a wonderful grandpa.
He's just the best.

He came alongside me at this week's market and worked so hard restocking and bagging up orders. I would have been even more of a basket case than I usually am if he hadn't shown up... Just like he always does. 馃挆

Thanks dad, for being amazing. We love you with all of our hearts. 馃挒
