I didn’t always know this was a superpower. Growing up between cultures, between countries, between worlds that didn’t quite have a name for what I was… I just thought I was different. But somewhere between the cassette tapes and the streaming playlists, between handwritten letters and voice notes, I realized my generation watched the entire world change in front of our eyes in real time. And we didn’t break. We adapted. Over and over again. That’s not a small thing. As a third culture adult building in business, I’ve learned that the ability to see change coming isn’t something you read in a book. It’s something you live. And I’ve been living it my whole life. 💼🌍✨

I didn’t grow up in India, but my roots are there. I grew up in Jeddah, by the Red Sea, in a city that raised me in ways I’m still discovering. And then somewhere along the way, I landed in America and spent years trying to figure out where I actually belonged.

Three cultures. And honestly? For a long time none of them felt fully mine.

But then I walked into a room and there was a door from Al-Balad. Just sitting there. And something in me just… stopped. The carved wood, the geometry, that warmth. I’ve stood in front of doors like this my whole life and never realized how much they were holding me together.

This is what nobody tells you about being a third culture kid. Home isn’t a passport or a place you were born. It’s the moment you stop feeling like you have to explain yourself. It’s where you just breathe.

And sometimes it finds you in the most unexpected places. 🤍
