The MORE Cafe We are more than a cafe. We empower and validate differently-abled individuals with
meaningful opportunities within their community. rebranded to The M.O.R.E.

Recently, Maggie's & M.O.R.E. Cafe to emphasize the mission, not the product. At The M.O.R.E. Cafe instead of the redundancy and the sheltered nature of opportunities traditionally given to differently-abled individuals, the individuals who are part of The M.O.R.E. Cafe find themselves part of a community, having a social circle, and at the front and center of a business, completing a wide variety

of complex but manageable tasks. These tasks include manning a cash register, packing donuts, making coffee, preparing smoothies, creating breakfast sandwiches and paninis, and most of all interacting with customers. Simple modifications have been made to how the Donut Shop is run, and people with intellectual/developmental disabilities work directly with job coaches to ensure their successes with each part of a meaningful work environment. We are excited to expand our menu beyond donuts while still offering meaningful opportunities to differently-abled adults.

Hiram College is back! And the energy around Hiram is Moooooooving in a beautiful direction. We are so excited to see our Terrier friends again. To celebrate them CHICK-FIL-A IS BACK!!!! Starting next Wednesday 9/2 from 10am-2pm. We will be serving 8 piece nuggets, the original chicken sandwich, and mac and cheese.

Well friends, if you didn’t visit the Cafe today you missed a special one. We had the famous Heidi and Youth Abilities in the house. We had greeters. We had hosts. We had Huggers lol and we had celebrities from the M.O.R.E. Cafe. We had Love, Excitement, Friendship, Laughs, and of course Donuts. The beauty of today lingers and the vibrations were unmatched. The Mission was strong here in the Heart of Hiram. We love you friends!

Today was our Job Coach, Brooke's, last Sunday with us. On Friday she starts a new adventure as she heads to Western Reserve Academy for her sophomore year. We will miss her on Sundays, but she assured us she will be back next summer.
