A little “where are they now?” update from Casey… 🩷
It’s been a while since Ashley and I closed the ROCin’ Cookie MOMsters chapter, but I still think about this little business—and all of you who supported it—more often than you probably realize.
Running ROCin' Cookie MOMsters taught me SO much about owning a small business. And now, one of those lessons has led me somewhere I definitely didn't expect.
I started a bookkeeping business. (I'm so sorry to all of you that thought I was bringing the bakery back to life!)
Looking back, Ashley and I were incredibly lucky that there were two of us. When one person was drowning in cookies, orders and customers, the other could handle some of the behind-the-scenes business stuff—including the books.
At the time, I genuinely didn't realize that a small business like ours could simply hire someone to take bookkeeping off our plate.
Now I do.
I recently launched MG Business Solutions , where I'm providing bookkeeping support to small business owners. And because I've actually lived the bakery life, I have a special place in my heart for helping bakers understand what their business is really doing financially.
I know what it's like to buy ingredients and packaging everywhere, juggle custom orders and deposits, watch ingredient prices climb, survive holiday order madness—and be completely booked while still wondering, “Are we actually making enough money doing this?”
So this isn't really an advertisement as much as a life update for the people who supported our last adventure:
Casey has apparently traded cookies for QuickBooks. 😊
If you own a small business—or know someone who does—and bookkeeping is the part that's always getting pushed to the bottom of the list, I'd love for you to follow my new page, MG Business Solutions .
And truly, thank you for supporting ROCin’ all those years. That business taught me things I'm still carrying into this one.
