When was the last time you “made” your own pizza?! This Friday could be pizza night at your house!! 🍕

You can grab gluten free pizza crusts at the shop in our grab-n-go freezer. Or you can add it to your next pickup order.

Did you know we have a grocery department (that sounds kinda fancy 😆 as I type this out)?! And you can grab ready to bake and heat and eat item from our grab-n-go freezer at the shop? (You can also pre-order and have them delivered closer to you via our local pickups).

You’ll find pot pies, scones, quiche, breakfast hand pies, biscuits, pizza crust and fruity galettes everyday at the shop. (Pita and pie crust are on the preorder menu, we don’t have enough room to stock those at the shop).

If you had to recommend something to a gluten free friend to try what would you tell them they should try first?

Traveling this weekend and looking for car snacks? Or are you staying home for the three day weekend and just want something extra? We’ve got you! Strawberry rhubarb crumble bars and galettes are here! Or snag a strawberry hand tart or a toasted coconut glazed donut.

“Not bad” 😆 Test batching at the shop because I wanted to eat one of those raspberry crunchy “viral” desserts! It’s actually good for a first round. I only made 6 🫣 I want more raspberry filling in the middle tho - so I’ll try again and let you know when you can stop by and try one.

You will find danishes, filled donuts maple bars, apple fritters in the shop!! And about 45+ more gluten free treats!! 🥰

Have you met Stina yet?! Stina is our shop manager. She was also our lead during our farmers market days. Stina has been helping with the bakery since we started back in 2008!

Back in the early days she and I would bake late at night when our kiddos were little - she’d drive all the way from Vancouver just to help me bake! Next time you see her ask her about the time we attempted to make a giant batch of marshmallows. 🤣

OH and did I mention she is my sister?! 🥰 She is the favorite sister among our siblings - we have 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Fun facts: she has an obsession with earrings - she’s always wearing the coolest pair (I’ve lost count as to how many she has in her collection). Her go to treat when she’s driving home: old fashioned donut. She drives nearly 90 minutes every day to work and then another 90 minutes home. 😳 Crazy right?! She loves being part of the Blue Moon team and the gluten free community - she says we have the best people who visit the shop.

We love her, we think she’s the best!!

What do you like on your biscuits?!
I feel bad sometimes for our team that worked years ago - we didn’t have giant mixers or fancy tools to make their life easier.

Years ago our team would hand mix giant batches of scones and biscuits…until we learned that we could make them in the mixer and they would still turn out ahhhmazing. 🫣

One of the great things about gluten free baking is you don’t have to worry about over mixing!

Today we have an 80qt mixer (one of our bakers could fit comfortably in the bowl - not that we’ve tried 😬) and we make back to back batches of scones and biscuits. We still get to hand roll or hand shape but mixing 80lbs of dough at one time is so much easier in a giant mixer!! 😆

You’ll always find scones and biscuits in our grab n go freezer in the shop - the scones are ready to bake and the biscuits are perfect to heat and eat, especially good with gravy.

You’ll find quiche in the shop most mornings! What flavors you ask?! Bacon+pesto, Sausage+goat cheese AND veggie (peppers, feta, tomatoes).

I think my favorite is the veggie but I’ll also grab the bacon - and I do love goat cheese. So win win win!!

Which flavor do you love?!
