We had Stan and his crew out with us today. We started the morning searching for fluke, but unfortunately had no takers—not even a short.

After that, we made a move and found some sea bass. We caught quite a few, mostly shorts, but managed to put some keepers in the box as well.

Later, we moved to another location and made a few drifts. We picked up a couple of dogfish, which were quickly released back into the water. We also started catching ling, but the bite was fairly slow throughout the afternoon.

Despite the challenging conditions, everyone stayed positive and worked hard, and we were able to bring home a mix of keeper sea bass and ling.

Not to mention Tertius caught his first Striped bass 35 # class fish which made his day catching a fish of a lifetime.🎣🎣 which was safely released.

Today we had Dad Brian, birthday boy Owen, his brother, and friends out for a half-day fluke trip. We made a few drifts and landed a skate, which was safely released.

After searching a few other spots, Owen caught his very first fluke! It came up a little short, so we sent it back to grow bigger and fight another day.

We tried several more locations but couldn’t get the bite going. With the fishing slowing down, we called it a day and headed back to the barn so the birthday boy could continue enjoying his special day.

Today we had Tahmir, Jaqell, Georgie, and Albert onboard. We were covered in dense fog this morning and started heading out slowly due to heavy boat traffic in our area. We hit the first spot with no marks, and soon tons of boats started to gather around us.

We decided to pull off away from the fleet, but still had no takers after searching around for a bit. Suddenly, the wind picked up and started blowing pretty good, so we made the call to head upriver and try a few different spots.

That move paid off — we landed a nice 36” fish that was safely released. 🎣 We gave it a few more passes after that and then called it a day.

Good crew, tough conditions, but we made it happen.
