Hi everyone!!

Just wanted to give you an update regarding: our ongoing imagination library fundraiser.

Unfortunately this weeks cake cups were just not cooperating to get out the door at all! And as one little baker with only so much time, I won’t have time to bake anything else in time for the market tomorrow. So, we will resume the fundraiser with enthusiasm! And gusto! And butterflies! On September 19th. Thanks for hanging in there with me! I’m sorry if anyone is disappointed!!

Thank you to everyone who came out today to see me at the Highland Farmers' Market Michigan to raise some money for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library! We were able to donate 108.00 this week thanks to all of you.

If you missed it this weekend, don’t worry! I’m going to keep the fundraiser going until the end of the season with one special featured bake each week!

SPECIAL WEEKEND ANNOUNCEMENT

With the heartbreaking news that the world lost our beloved Dolly Parton yesterday, I wanted to do something to honor her spirit and generosity this weekend.

For this weekend only, I will be selling “I am a rainbow” cake slices for 5.00 each with 100 percent of the proceeds from that item going directly to Dolly’s Imagination Library.

Dolly’s family has asked that donations in her memory be made to the Imagination library and here at Baked by Jamie we’re passionate about two things. Sweet treats and good causes.

If you’re unfamiliar with what Dolly’s Imagination Library is, I’m happy to explain that it is a 31 year old program that sends free books to children ages 0-5 around the world. Dolly was inspired to take on children’s literacy as a cause she believed in as her own father never learned to read. To date it has gifted over 304 million books. Recently public funding for the imagination library has been in danger.

So come see me this Saturday for a 5.00 rainbow cake slice let’s raise a little money in our corner of the world for someone who spent her entire life giving back.

If you can’t make it this weekend, I encourage you to make a donation of your own to Dolly’s Imagination Library in any amount you can.

It's almost Saturday, you know what that means? The Highland Farmers Market is right around the corner! 👀

This Saturday has a lot in store, ranging from Funk it up Fries and Finch & Fizz Lemonade joining us, to delicious locally grown produce, baked goods, crafts, and more!

We are in for a little weather scare this Saturday, with a chance for thunder in the afternoon. Due to that, we're moving our hours to 9 AM-1 PM to avoid the potential storm brewing.

So come on out early, grab some goodies, support our local vendors, and enjoy the Highland Farmers Market before the weather rolls in! 🛍️☀️
