I have had so much fun making cookies for your special events and milestones. It has truly been an honor to be able to make and share my cookies over the past year. I never expected my business to grow as much as it has and for that, I am so thankful. With that being said, I’ve decided to take a much needed break. For those who don’t know me personally, I also work as a labor and delivery nurse and a photographer. I’m also a mom to a wild (almost) two year old and a wife to the most supportive husband. I’ve been juggling so many hats and people often ask me how I do it all. I joke that I don’t sleep which is partially true. While I love the end result of making the cookies and seeing the full set come together, it’s such a long multi-day process to get there. I’ve made it work for so long by working in chunks between my son’s naps, meals and playtime with most of my work getting done while he sleeps at night. This has led to lots of late nights, sometimes all nighters, to be able to get cookie orders complete. With the weather finally warming up, I want to be able to be outside with my family and adventure together as opposed to being stuck inside making and decorating cookies. I quickly got burnt out with this business and have started to dread the process and the order inquiries that continue to roll in. While I am so appreciative of your orders and continued support, I’m realizing that I am awful at managing the business end (ie responding to emails 😅) and it has quickly overwhelmed me. I hope to get back to cookies one day, whether that means popups for holidays or custom orders, I’m not sure yet which avenue baked + brushed will take. I love making sugar cookies and seeing the responses from clients but I know that taking a break is much needed and I’m going to take the time off to be more present for my son and husband and enjoy the summer. My business wouldn’t be possible without all of your love and support so I just want to reiterate how much you all mean to me. Florals always intimidate me but I’m slowly getting more confident in my piping skills! The bride asked for lots of flowers and girly touches and I’m loving how this set turned out!

Stepped out of my comfort zone with this color scheme but love how it turned out! May or may not try to incorporate tie dye cookies in all of my sets moving forward 😂

I remember when Elliestyled reached out to me in hopes of working together and I totally fangirled! I was dying to partner with a local event planner and make cookies for their beautiful events! I was excited for all of the doors it could open for baked + brushed 🤍

I made these cookies for a bridal shower her team is planning and am obsessed with how they turned out! I love all of the white, the different textures and the touches of gold. It was my first time using sheets of edible 14k gold and I love how the cookies turned out! Which design is your favorite?

I will never get tired of making cookies for baby showers. I’m obsessed with all of the little outfits 🥺 I also love how the balloon arch cookies turned out! Definitely a little tedious but the end result is so worth it!

I had so much fun making these bridesmaids cookie boxes for my sister to ask her girls to stand up in her wedding! I think cookies are such a fun (and yummy) way to ask your girls to be in your wedding! Who doesn’t love cookies?! 🤩

I never had a chance to take photos of this set but wanted to share a quick video! I made these for my brow gal Erin who I’ve been going to for years. She is incredible at what she does and one of the sweetest people ever so I wanted to make her a little something to say thank you! 🤍

If you’re in need of a brow artist, you should definitely see Erin at Benefit in Evanston! Also if you have translucent brows and lashes like me, you should definitely try to get them tinted and then you can thank me later 😂

I had so much fun making these as a surprise for my girl Tiffany! We met over social media and have built such a great friendship, she truly is incredible! If you’re in the Chicagoland area and looking for a new hair stylist, definitely reach out to her! She has the cutest salon space in downtown Crystal Lake and is a hair wizard! She also does bridal hair! Promise you will not be disappointed! ✨

Baked + Brushed Custom Sugar Cookies

First pop up in the books for baked + brushed! It’s been a stressful couple of days prepping countless batches of dough and icing but it was all worth it to see my cookies for sale in a beautiful store in Chicago. It’s been a goal of mine to have a cookie pop up but I never thought it would be attainable. Hearing the response from customers that came out to try my cookies has been so rewarding and makes me so excited for what’s to come for baked + brushed. I have lots of big goals for this cookie business of mine and cannot wait to see where we go from here!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my friends and family that came out to support me. I truly couldn’t do this without you! You have no idea how much your love and support means to me, thank you so much. Now to continue making more cookies for tomorrow!
