Mom and I are working hard to get the cookie boxes done. They will be ready very soon.
This year's new flavor is SPUMONI. It's always been one of my favorite ice cream flavors. A mixture of cherry, pistachio and chocolate. I made a batch of each flavor, layered them and did a slice and bake. Did a trial bake on them and they are so good!! We will have a full cookie case for you on Monday, including these SPUMONI COOKIES!!

It's a start!!
I know we take our time every year, but we're working hard to get the gingerbread cookies and the cookie boxes ready.
I think, actually I know, mom's favorite thing to make are cookies! My sisters and I were always in the kitchen "helping" her (eating cookies 🤣) when we were kids and we've enjoyed sharing them with you all over the years.
I will keep you posted for sure when they are ready. I just wanted to let you know that we cookie elves are hard at work making them!! ❤️

Many have asked about our Holiday hours.
We will be open noon-4pm on the 24th.
We will be open the following Monday (26th) through Wednesday (28th) noon-4pm.
Mom has an important (long) appointment on Thursday (29th) so we have decided to take the 29th, 30th & 31st off for some R&R.

New cake flavor!!! MAPLE PECAN: vanilla cake, layered with homemade maple custard, topped with homemade maple buttercream frosting and toasted pecans.

We have our homemade POTATO SOUP today. You can have it regular or loaded with cheese, bacon & chives!

About a week ago I had a special request for a chocolate peppermint cheesecake. I had never made one before & was hoping to do it justice. They called to tell me how much they enjoyed it (that made me so happy!), of course I had to make one for the case!!
So today we will have 2 festive cheesecakes to choose from!!
EGGNOG & CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT!! The mint one is peppermint cheesecake, with a chocolate crust, topped with dark chocolate ganache & chocolate mint bark on top!

Mom has an appointment this morning, we will be open at noon! Come see us!

Mom & I were working late & this happened right by the bakery. Truly heartbreaking & we're praying for all involved & their families. We didn't see what happened, but the emergency crews were there in an instant & were still there when we left just now.

Mom & I rarely get a chance to stop this time of year. It's a blessing to be busy, but we have to remind ourselves to take a minute or two. Mom is 81 & although it's a lot sometimes, I know the bakery is what helps keep her going. We love the holidays, but I am certain that you all know how things change sometimes when a loved one has passed. Dad honestly never wanted to stop working. He LOVED it.
We decorated for Christmas this past Sunday. We have had a "memory notes box" set up for almost a year. We wanted you all to leave a note, or a special happy thought about dad. Mom took it to the back yesterday, to put some decorations out.
It was the first time she actually stopped, sat down and read all of your incredible notes.
They absolutely touched our hearts in so many ways. The things you all said were heartfelt & sincere & they brought us to tears. Liking the food & desserts is one thing, but when you really stop & see just how much WE, as a family have meant to you all over the years, it makes us feel so happy & important. The notes from children especially got to us.
We hope you know how much you all mean to us. Truly. We can't thank you enough for everything you have done for us for the past 21 years & I just needed to take a moment to say THANK YOU!

It's beginning to look a lot like...mushrooms?
I'm always amazed at how these little mushrooms come together. Thank goodness dad taught me how to temper chocolate.
These festive and delicious yule logs are becoming a growing tradition each year.
A tricky dessert to create, but I absolutely love them and they are well worth the effort.
You have a lighter than air chocolate roll. Filled with our fresh whipped cream, topped with our homemade chocolate buttercream frosting. Decorated with buttercream poinsettias and holly and we can't forget the cute as a button... mushrooms. Hand made from meringue, you have the tops and bottoms, then glue them together with dark chocolate, dust with some cocoa and voila! Sweet little meringue mushrooms.
Now is the time to order for Christmas. They are $44.

We have CHOCOLATE CAKE ROLL!! This is what our yule log is, but the yule log gets decorated with poinsettias, holly and meringue mushrooms. It's a light, chocolate cake, filled with fresh whipped cream, topped with chocolate buttercream. It's like eating chocolate air!!
We have a new pie S'MORES PIE: graham crust, chocolate custard topped with marshmallow meringue.
We also have CHERRY PIE. and COCONUT CREAM PIE!!

I know today was so busy & we had a line most of the day, we truly appreciated your patience through it all. Now we will attempt to watch the holiday baking show (as we fall asleep 5 minutes it) & rest. We will see you all on Friday!

Hi, I just wanted to let you all know that I promise I haven't forgotten about the apple dumplings. They are very time consuming, and I haven't been able to find the right size & quality of apple that I need for them. I will make them again, for sure.
