Why do I do what I do? Because I genuinely LOVE IT! ❤️🎂

Not every day is easy. Not every cake goes according to plan. And some days I question why I willingly sign myself up for so much work. 😂💁🏻‍♀️

But then I look at everything I’ve created, the people I’ve met, and the memories I’ve had the privilege of being part of… and I remember exactly WHY.

I don’t HAVE to do this. I GET to do this. 🥹❤️

And what a blessing that is!

10/15/2026

Here’s your reminder that you don’t have to have it all figured out to GET STARTED! 💁🏻‍♀️❤️

If I had waited until I had all the answers, all the money, or the confidence to take that first step, I probably wouldn’t have accomplished half the things I have.

And guess what? I STILL don’t have it all figured out! 😂

One thing I’ve learned is that confidence doesn’t always come BEFORE you take the leap. Sometimes it comes from realizing you survived the jump.

You’re going to make mistakes, question yourself, and wonder what the heck you got yourself into. But imagine looking back a year from now and realizing how far you’ve come simply because you decided to TRY.

Stop waiting for perfect. Pray about it, trust God, and GET TO WORK! 🙌🏼❤️

WAIT A MINUTE!!! There’s a whole NATIONAL HOLIDAY dedicated to DESSERTS?! And nobody told me?! 🤣 🍰 🧁

Apparently, October 14th is National Dessert Day, and as a woman behind Pies of Amor, I feel like I should’ve requested the day off to celebrate. 💁🏻‍♀️🥳

But since there’s no such thing as a day off when you own a small business, I guess I’ll celebrate by doing what I do best… MAKING SWEET THINGS! ❤️

Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, Cheesecakes, pies… Listen, I don’t discriminate when it comes to desserts! 😋

So in honor of this very important national holiday, I have ONE question:

If you could eat, only one dessert for the rest of your life, what would it be? 👀

And don’t say fruit. We are not accepting those answers today. 😂

Happy National Dessert Day from Pies Of Amor! ❤️

Can we normalize doing things simply because they make us HAPPY?! ❤️

Not because they’re productive. Not because they’re going to make us rich. Not because someone else thinks they’re worth our time.

But simply because WE ENJOY THEM!

Somewhere along the way, we started feeling like everything we do needs to have a purpose, a price tag, or some kind of return on investment.

And listen… I’m a businesswoman. I understand the importance of making money. 😂💁🏻‍♀️

But I also believe that not everything valuable can be measured in dollars.

If something fills your cup, brings you joy, or makes you excited to get out of bed in the morning, THAT is reason enough to keep doing it.

You don’t have to explain the things that make your soul happy. ❤️

So tell me… what’s something you absolutely LOVE doing, even if nobody else understands why?

Who’s coming to see me?! 👀

10/10/2026

Most people who follow Pies of Amor know me as the woman behind the cakes. 🎂❤️

You see the pretty cakes, the ridiculous late nights, the buttercream struggles, the classes, the deliveries, the laughing, the dancing in my kitchen and me occasionally questioning every decision that led me to becoming a baker. 😂💁🏻‍♀️

But there is another part of the woman behind Pies of Amor that I don’t talk about here nearly as often.

I am a survivor of domestic abuse. 💜

There was a time in my life when the woman you see today didn’t exist yet.

The confident woman.
The business owner.
The author.
The woman who laughs loudly and takes up space.
The woman who dreams about growing this little business into something bigger.

She had to be rebuilt.

And God has been rebuilding her piece by piece ever since. ❤️

Pies of Amor became part of that rebuilding. Baking gave my hands something to create while God was working on my heart. And somewhere along the way, this became so much more than a cake business to me.

So during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I want to use this little platform I’ve built to say something that I wish every woman living in that darkness could believe:

There is life on the other side.

Leaving may not immediately feel like freedom. Healing isn’t linear. Rebuilding yourself takes time.

But please don’t mistake the chapter you’re living in for the ending of your story.

I am still healing.
I am still growing.
I am still becoming.

But I am free. 💜

And the woman I am today is proof that God can make something beautiful out of what you thought had completely broken you.

If my story resonates with you and you’d like to read more of it, I share a piece of my journey in WISE WOMEN EMPOWER WOMEN. The link to order is in my bio. 📖❤️

What makes me happy?
This. This right here. 🥹❤️

Of course I love creating the cakes. I love taking an idea and turning it into something beautiful. But THIS is the part that makes all the late nights, stressful moments, buttercream everywhere and talking to myself in the kitchen worth it. 😂

Seeing someone’s face light up when they see the cake I made especially for them. 🎂

That’s the part people don’t always get to see.

I don’t just bake for the cake. I bake for THIS moment. ❤️

And I’ll choose this feeling every single time. 💁🏻‍♀️

10/08/2026

I don’t talk about this part of Pies of Amor enough. ❤️

Baking started as something I enjoyed. Then it became a business. But somewhere in between, it became something I didn’t even realize I needed.

It became therapy.

There is something about putting my hands to work that quiets everything else. For those few hours, my mind has somewhere to go. I can focus on the next layer, the next color, the next little detail instead of everything else happening inside my head.

And no, baking isn’t always peaceful. 😂 Sometimes an order has me stressed TF OUT, questioning all my life choices and wondering why I didn’t pick a less stressful hobby. 💁🏻‍♀️

But somehow… I always come back to it.

Mental health is deeply personal to me. I’ve had seasons of my life when simply making it through the day was an accomplishment. I’ve also learned that healing doesn’t always look like sitting in a therapist’s office. Sometimes it looks like prayer. Sometimes it looks like asking for help. Sometimes it looks like community. Sometimes it looks like creating something beautiful with your own two hands.

For me, sometimes it looks like cake. 🎂❤️

So on World Mental Health Day, I just want to remind someone: take care of your mind with the same intention you take care of everyone and everything else. Find the things that quiet the noise. Let people love you. Ask for help when you need it. And please don’t convince yourself that you have to carry everything alone.

I’m grateful God gave me something that has brought me peace during some of the hardest seasons of my life.

Turns out, Pies of Amor has given a whole lot of amor back to me. 🥹❤️

And if you’d like to know more about my story—the parts that happened before the cakes, behind the smile, and throughout my healing—I shared a piece of it in WISE WOMEN EMPOWER WOMEN. ❤️

My story is bigger than what I can fit into a reel, and if sharing it helps even one woman feel a little less alone, then it was worth telling.

There’s a link in my bio if you’d like to order a copy. 🥹📖❤️

Me: THIS is my favorite cake I’ve ever made. 😍
Also me 3 seconds later: Wait… no, THIS one.
Also me again: Okay but THIS ONE though… 😂💁🏻‍♀️

Apparently I don’t have a favorite. I just fall in love with whatever I’m creating at the moment. ❤️🎂

And honestly, I think that’s one of the reasons I still love doing this. Every cake gets a little piece of my creativity, and every once in a while I make one that has me staring at it like… damn, girl, you made that?! 😂

Then the next order comes along and I do it all over again.

Tell me—which one would YOU pick as your favorite? 👀
