🚜🌾 Happy National Farmers Day! 🌾🚜

Today, we recognize and thank the hardworking farmers who help feed our families and keep our community growing! 💚

Farming is essential to our community, and so is safety! As you work in the fields or travel our rural roadways, remember to:
🚜 Share the road with farm equipment.
⚠️ Stay alert around tractors and slow-moving vehicles.
📱 Keep your phone accessible in case of an emergency.

Thank you to our local farmers for all you do! Stay safe out there! 👨‍🌾

Most of our area has been upgraded to a Slight Risk (level 2/5) for severe weather for Sunday. Showers are likely with possible scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Main concerns are strong winds and the potential for a few brief tornadoes. Highest confidence is south and east of Richmond, as storms may struggle to form over the piedmont.

Are you keeping an eye on the weather forecast for this weekend?

Tropical moisture associated with the remnants of Hurricane Isaias will bring widespread rainfall Saturday night through Sunday. Most of the area should see 1 to 2 inches of rain while southeast VA and northeast NC could see up to 3+ inches.
