Hi, friends! I thought it was time to properly introduce myself. 🤍

I’m Keshia, the heart behind Delta Rose Homestead.

I’ve called the Hernando/Eudora area home for over 30 years. I’m married to my very best friend of 25 years, and together we’ve raised two amazing kids who are now adulting (most days 😄). These days, our greatest joy is spoiling our two beautiful grandchildren.

When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll usually find me devouring a good book, penning a love story, or hanging out with my family.

My husband and I have always loved cooking together. We’ve spent years recreating our favorite restaurant dishes and experimenting with new recipes. But my baking journey didn’t really begin until Christmas of 2023.

It all started with a simple afternoon baking chocolate chip cookies. From there, I became determined to master homemade bread, and before long, one recipe turned into another. What started as curiosity quickly became a passion.

Today, nothing brings me more joy than creating homemade baked goods from simple, fresh ingredients—mixed with all the Southern love in my heart. Every loaf of bread, batch of cookies, cinnamon roll, and donut that leaves my kitchen is made the same way I’d make it for my own family.

Thank you for following along, supporting this little dream, and allowing me to be a small part of your family’s table. It truly means more than you’ll ever know.

*** photo is the first sourdough loaf I baked back in 2023 that actually looked and tasted decent (after many failed attempts)!! Since then I’ve discovered I’m more of a yeast baking girly. However, baking with sourdough certainly builds character!! 😂🙌

Recipe testing day at the homestead. 🤎🍌

There’s just something about the smell of fresh banana nut bread baking in the oven that makes a house feel like home.

Today we’re testing a new recipe—and this time, we’re baking it in mini loaves! They’re the perfect size to enjoy with your morning coffee, tuck into a lunch, share with a friend, or freeze for later. Cozy, convenient, and just the right amount of homemade goodness.

As always, we’re making little tweaks and taste-testing. Because around here, if it’s going on the menu, it has to be something we’d be proud to serve our own family.
