McFarlans is an authentic "made from scratch" bakery, one of the only few left in America today. Because we believe modern technology and short cuts don't always make better quality, better tasting baked goods, we continue to use the same recipes the ole timers used at this bakery

I often think about what it was like almost 100 years ago when people were visiting the bakery. A slower world, a simpler time. Ginger molasses is a timeless classic. The chewy, rich molasses flavor paired with crunchy sugar is one of my favorite moments in the bakery. Every bite of a molasses cookie takes me back to summers at the lake or Christmas celebrations. This black and white photo highlights the incredible texture of our Ginger Molasses cookie.

Macaroons - chewy, crunchy, perfectly sweet. Your choice of coconut or almond. They are as old fashioned as they come and a crowd favorite. The almond is the only thing we make in house without flour, while its wheat free we don’t consider it gluten free because of how much flour is around the bakery 😅 They are great choices for a small sweet treat! Come by and get yourself a treat this weekend!

When these come out hot they are oooey gooey and oh so good. The balance of sweet dough, cinnamon and glaze is perfect. After a few days at home on the counter they can get a little dry, just pop ‘em in the microwave for a few seconds and you get the same gooey texture as the first day the came out of the oven! We make our cinnamon rolls with raisins but you can order them without (we typically need at least 48 hours for this). You can also request them without glaze, if you’re trying to keep your sugar down. They are amazingly delicious no matter how you prefer them! So next time you need a pick me up, come by and pick up a treat 🥰

Airy choux pastry filled with creamy custard and topped with old fashioned fudge icing. Classic Eclair. So. Stinkin. Good. Even our 4yo wanted to get her hands on it. She isn’t one for creamy textures but she was all in on this Eclair!

Definitely worth a visit to the bakery. They don’t last long though so get here early!! You deserve a treat today ❤️❤️

We don’t eat fancy meals these days, chasing kids and all, but buns from the bakery make even the simplest meal feel a little gourmet. Come by to grab a pack of hamburger buns, a pie or a small treat to take with you to your family/friend gathering this weekend.

It’s Garden Jubilee today and tomorrow! We are open today until 5:30 and Sunday from 9-2.

It was so great to see everyone Sunday! We are looking forward to Garden Jubilee this weekend! We will be open Saturday and Sunday 🌞 Come out and get a treat while you pick up some great garden gear!

We got hit with some kid sickness at home this week 🤪 so new content has been on hold. Stay tuned though, we have some fun things to share this summer!
