About Nelle’s :
Nelle’s Bar & Bakery came to be after my lifelong friend Danelle passed away suddenly. My husband and I have always wanted a restaurant but a traditional store front just didn’t seem to ever fit, well when my friend passed away, my husband came up with the idea to do a Barge, and it just grew from there, we rebranded our name from Bourbon Cakes to Nelle’s after my friend Nelle, she was a free spirited and loved mermaids and the water, so that’s where the Barge came into play being our restaurant/ event venue, it would be painted like a Mermaid so she was always on the water. My best friend Nelle and I started cooking together over 16 years ago as kids at home and my love of food began to grow tremendously, I am happy to say I have been in the culinary field for over 12 years now professionally and I wouldn’t have it any other way, being able to be in a kitchen everyday, cooking makes me feel closer to her.
We as restaurant/ entertainment venue will be a one of kind, we will host live music, run a full restaurant, bakery and bar and second as a venue for weddings and private parties up to 200 people. The Barge will have a full complete kitchen, and two bars to be able to fully take exceptional care of our guest.
