Six years ago, with a little push from those around me and the help of Puddin and Ivy, I rented a little building in my hometown of Hemphill, Texas, with a dream and a hope that I could turn it into something special. Today, that dream has come full circle!! After six years of pouring my heart into Pineywoods Pie Co, I am officially purchasing the building that has become so much more than just a bakery. It’s a place where I’ve grown, learned, taken risks, and built something I am incredibly proud of.

Pineywoods Pie Co has never just been about pies, cookies, or baked goods. It has been about community, connection, and the people who have continued to show up for me and my little business year after year. Every order, every kind word, every recommendation, every fundraiser, and every time someone has chosen to shop small has helped make this dream possible! I hope you know just how much that has meant to me!

As a mom of three, building this business has been a journey filled with long days, hard work, sacrifices, and so many beautiful moments. My kids have been right alongside me through it all, and being able to stand here today with them in front of this building, knowing that it is officially ours, is a feeling I can hardly put into words.

There is something so special about being able to build a dream right here in the town you call home. Hemphill, you have given me the opportunity to do just that, and I will never take it for granted. Y’all have supported not only my business but also my family, and for that, I am forever grateful 🥹

Today, Pineywoods Pie Co has a new building owner, and that owner is me!

Thank you especially to my Mamaw and Pawpaw for believing in me and supporting my dream. Also a huge thank you to my girls Hannah and Josie for being by my side for the better part of this journey! Six years down, and I am so excited to see what the next chapter holds. This little bakery means more to me than you will ever know, and I am so thankful I get to keep growing it right here at home.
