Gathering Your Horse's Hair:
Use the longest hairs from the middle of the tail, below the tailbone. Cut a few small amounts from different places. The final amount of hair should be the diameter of a pen/pencil and about 15-16 inches in length. Place the hair in a bag. Be sure to label the bag with your name, address and phone number. Mail your horse hair to:

Most days, this job is just that. It's another keychain or another bracelet or another necklace. And then... there's days like today. When you get an entire tail to work with. It's a sobering reminder that it's never "just hair". It's a little girl's first love. It's a little boy's best friend. It's the retired pasture ornament that gave their all to someone through years of competition. It's someone's therapy through their darkest days. Every strand of hair that comes through my shop is so much more to that horse's "person". It's never "just hair".
