We have a bittersweet announcement to share with our community.
After a lot of time, prayer, and thoughtful conversations as a family, we have decided it is time for the next chapter in our lives. We will be closing Simmer Down Cafe & Catering.
Over the last three years, this little restaurant has been so much more than a business to us. As a family-owned and operated restaurant, we poured our hearts into every meal, every buffet line, every early morning, and every late night. Along the way, our customers became family too, and we will forever be grateful for the love and support this community has shown us.
We cannot truly express how much it has meant to serve each and every one of you. From the regular faces we saw every week to the new friends we made along the way, you helped make Simmer Down what it was.
While this decision is incredibly difficult and emotional for us, we are also hopeful and excited to see what the future holds for our family in our next endeavor.
Before we say goodbye, we would absolutely love to spend one last weekend serving this community that has meant so much to us.
Friday will be our final crawfish boil day, and we would love to see everyone come out one last time. We’ll also be serving our Fish Friday favorites along with our regular menu.
And of course — donuts! 🍩
We will be making donuts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for one final weekend. We have a feeling these are going to sell out quickly, so if you haven’t had the chance to try them yet — or if you already know and love them as much as we do — please get your orders in as soon as possible. We are going to do everything we can to make enough to fill every order and serve this community one last weekend.
Our final day of operation will be this coming Sunday, Mother’s Day. We will be serving one last meal featuring our homemade chicken & dressing, and we would love for our loyal customers, friends, and community to come out and support us one last time.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. Thank you for every meal shared with us, every kind word, every recommendation, every prayer, and every bit of support over these past three years. We will never forget it. ❤️
