Dear Havertown Community, friends, and family: It is with a heavy heart that I inform that the doors of Sweets on Darby will be closing as of December 24, 2024!
I have a cancer diagnosis and battle that I need to focus on that will keep me away from the shop and not allow me to give enough time and energy to providing you with the quality and satisfaction that we guarantee and that you deserve!
To say that the past 2 1/2 years have been a dream come true would be an understatement! While my journey has been cut short, I am so grateful of the connections I made with my customers, the community, and our local businesses! I have made lasting memories, worked with a staff that was just as dedicated to making every occasion special or someone’s shopping experience enjoyable! Meeting tree-nut and peanut allergy sufferers was the best-every one’s story was like mine. We were just getting started and I am sorry that I can continue to bake for you!
Coming in 2025, 1217 Darby Road will have a new face! The gal is someone that I have adored and followed for almost 10 years! Please be sure to give Sweet Messina’s Bakery a huge Havertown welcome and go and follow her to see just how amazing she is!
Thank you for supporting our little bake shop and hopefully our paths will cross again!

4 Days Of Fun - Decorate, Laugh, Learn

Day 1: Cupcakes

Your Child Will Start Camp With A Orientation On Proper Baking Etiquette & Become Familiar With The Bakery Equipment, Like Mixers & Rolling Pins.

We're Decorating 6 Garden Themed Cupcakes.

The Beauty is In The Details. Your Child Will Learn How To Create Natural Colors & Proper Piping Technique That Creates Beautiful Designs.

Day 2: Cookies

Have Summer Fun With Pool/Themed Royal Icing Cookies.

From vibrant beach balls to cool sunglasses and blue pools, your child will have a blast making fun beach-themed treats.

Day 3: Cakes

Let Your Imagination Run Wild. Your Child Will Decorate An Entire 6" 2 Layer Beach Themed Cake.

From graham cracker sand beaches to fondant creations, your child will use classic ingredients to craft timeless & creative designs.

Day 4: Decorating Contest

Channel Your Inner Baking Competitor & Have Fun Cheering On Your Baking Friends.

​The Kids Showcase All They Learned By Decorating A Cupcake, Cookie, & Cake.

Our camp is limited to 10 people per session. We are almost booked for each session. Please purchase your tickets at least one day before camp starts.
