Had Stephanie, James, Liam and zac from Twin Rivers Baptist Church out tonight they braved the storm and we got them on a few reds all slot even able to release a few for Release Over 20 Weird weather out there on the Neuse nice wind pushing in from East but storms rolling in from the west. Not a bad evening all in all. Got some days in June open hit me up to get on some reds or just get out to the island!

Summers back after some lower than normal temperatures last week this week is back to normal. Spare mount installed, spare tire on until tires come in, anodes replaced all preventative maintenance is complete and boat washed. Now quick shower then head to class!

Ran trip for Take a Warrior Fishing, Inc. sponsored by Patriot Healing Adventures.

We ran out of Oriental, NC targeting old drum. Lots of boats out on the shoals but bait was scattered. We struck out with the reds missing a few bites but managed to get on quite a few big blues. Was a great time out getting to hang with Army and Marine Corps Warriors Nick, Quan, Joey and Robert.

The month of July was pretty good for not being out on the water much. We caught some new PB’s, couple tagged fish and we tagged & released quite a few as well. It’s only gonna get better. Message me if you’re interested in fishing this month! Seen big pods of menhaden showing up and hopefully the ole reds are right behind them. I have availability through out the month. We can toss artificial and chase them or set up shop and cast out cut bait. Hit me up to plan your adventure.

Levi Smith caught his first tagged fish on Monday and happened to be tagged by me on 6/14/2024. We got measured, picture and safely released to be recaptured again!

June was a great time we caught lots of fish in the Nuese also ran couple beach days between bird shoal and shackelford banks. We’ve had best bite with reds ranging from 19”-49” with a couple being previously tagged we also tagged a few before releasing them. We also had stripers, trout, flounder, blues, rays, even a big gar and snapping turtle mixed in. Have couple trips this week then to Carolina Bible camp for a week. Thanks Gunny B Outdoors for recommending me as a plan b for a group. Ellan called and ask if I could get them out on the water since charter they had was having truck issues. I said yes and quickly got the seat cushions in and threw some ice blocks on board then hooked up the boat. Was leaving the drive when mail lady came by ask her about traffic after the bad news I made the decision to head to Cahoogue boat ramp with about 15 minutes of traffic was able to get to the ramp by 12 we launched and headed back to back of the creek to get best possible view of the flight line. We had a great view and the weather was absolutely perfect! Great job Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point!!!

Morning trip with two Marines from MCAS Cherry Point thanks for getting me a list to take out hope this is the start to a long working relationship. Was chilly start but we caught some d***s to tag. We made some moves and took a long short ride through the choppy neuse to hit up couple spots move paid off we caught some nice keepers for Cpl Eh to take home. We also lost quite a few right at the boat. It’s so heart breaking to see some big trout shake hook right at the boat but they learned some techniques to hopefully help them in the future. So glad to finally get some Marines back out in the water hope we can get next adventure planned soon! Warmer evenings are fast approaching this makes for some great evening fishing on the Neuse River. I have days available we can fish morning, afternoon or evening MHC to New Bern just hit me up to get on the books. April I have 9/18/22/23 available May I have a lot open.
