I’ve learned soooo many things about bread since I started this journey in August of 2023 .. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year that I started this!! Wow!

Having said that, I’ve done so much research of breads, ingredients, sourdough vs yeast, and I could go on and on and on.

With that there’s so many interesting facts that’s I never knew so I figured how fun to share some of those with you!!

Did you know? …

📌FACT - A rolled-up piece of white bread was used to erase graphite before rubber erasers were invented.

📌FACT - Pre-sliced bread was banned in the United States briefly in 1943 as a wartime conservation effort.

📌FACT - The automatic popup bread toaster was patented before the bread-slicing machine.

Alright all you sourdough lovers!! This one is for you!

We all love a quick grab n go breakfast - we all love a sweet breakfast - soooo .. what better than discard cinnamon rolls?! Yum!!

Cinnamon rolls are such a fun recipe to learn to make. You can make it at home for fun, for brunch with the family, Christmas morning as your family wakes up to open gifts, or even a birthday celebration .. I know our girl loves cinnamon rolls for her birthday breakfast with a few sprinkles added 😉 regardless, it’s a fantastic recipe to use to help with your sourdough discard. Just remember, you do have to have an active sourdough starter to use this recipe!

As much as I didn’t want to do this, of course .. life happens!!

A few weeks back I had announced that I’d have a few weeks coming in July that I would be closing shop while we move + renovate the kitchen in the new house. As always life is ever changing and doing its own thing so we’re forced to go with the flow.

Having said that, over the next few weeks we’re going to be busy packing/moving + getting settled into the new house. Right after we’re done with that the kitchen will be coming apart and the kitchen reno will start. Is your head spinning yet?! Cause mine sure is🤪

Tentative dates for kitchen Reno will begin July 18th + should be done within the week .. fingers crossed🤞🏻 That means I should have my double ovens and a brand new work space to open back up for you guys fresh + ready to roll August 1st.

I know it’s a much longer break than what I anticipated + to be honest much longer than I’d like but we roll with the changes and we will make it work.

As always, I want to remain up front + honest with you all. I cannot express to you the gratitude I have to each + every one of you who order from me weekly. I want to always keep the quality of product to the highest standards + ensure I’m always giving fresh products to you all which is why I have decided to just close up shop for the month instead of doing the back + forth to complicate things further.

I’m going to be posting some super fun discard recipes + bread recipes in general you can all work on while I’m gone if you’re brave enough! Please please if you could engage with my page during this time I would appreciate it SO much. I will also be doing a rebranding of our logo + a giveaway when we’re back + you won’t want to miss this one so keep an eye on our page!!

Our closing dates are tentatively Monday June 24th - July 31st!

Focaccia✨🤌🏻

Focaccia can be used as a side, a pizza dough, or sandwich bread!
