Time to start whipping up all the pies for thanksgiving! Can you guess the new secret ingredient in my pumpkin pies this year?? Share with family and friends so they can guess too! The first person to get it right gets a free pumpkin pie!

This recipe is just too good to keep to myself. I have literally eaten it every night for the last week! The marshmallows are the perfect way to balance out this delicious treat 😊. I don't give out personal recipes often, so enjoy! And please feel free to share pictures or comments on the page after you make it!

Alex's Awesome Apple Crisp

Use 8x8 or 9x9 pan

Peel and cut 4 apples and place them in pan (slice them as big or small as you like they just take a little longer to cook and get soft if slices are bigger)

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
2 pkg of instant maple brown sugar oatmeal (this is the secret ingredient 😊)
3/4 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
5 TBSP. Softened butter (margarine at fridge temp works best)

Mix all dry ingredients then using a fork or pastry blender, cut butter into the mix until it starts clumping together but is still crumbly
Enough to spread over apples

Cook on 375 for approx. 30 minutes or until apples are soft and crumble starts to brown.

For best taste, let cool completely then heat each serving individually by laying foil on a baking sheet, scooping serving onto foil and topping with marshmallows. Cook on 425 degrees for 5-6 minutes then transfer onto plate and enjoy!

The great thing about pastries is their ability to bring the family together. Whether it is eating them or making them! Today, Aly and I made lemon meringue cupcakes. We even made a few with strawberry meringue topping! YUM! Cupcakes of all sorts are available from $15-$22 a dozen depending on how extravagant you like them!
