We are proud to announce that the mother/daughter owned business The Book Nook WI LLC is moving into its own brick and mortar at 62 N. Main St. in beautiful downtown Hartford in October! 🍁🍂🎃

The former Birds on Deck location is everything we could ask for. We wanted a space for everyone to come and feel welcome and to experience a sense of community. That is something that is very important to our family. The connections we have already made have been incredible.

We will carry a majority of used books 📚 (as our motto is “Every book deserves a second home!”) but also will have some new books📚, bookish merchandise 👚, Nutman Products 🥜, handmade candles 🕯️, crystals 🛘 and much more!

We wanted to bring books BACK to Washington County and we are currently the only bookstore here. We don’t take that lightly.

We hope to be a place where all feel welcomed and a part of. We have lived in Hartford for 23 years but my father was from Hartford so I’ve been around here my whole life. Both my daughter and I are Slinger High School alumni and my husband moved here from Minnesota. He will be a little more behind the scenes but I’m sure you will see Pete on occasion.

Please know Colette and I truly appreciate each and every one of you that has visited our book booth (still inside The Local Collective until 9/30/26!!) as well as attended our pop-ups, vendor fairs and book clubs.

Please be on the lookout for many exciting things coming down the line. Want to host an event? Have a birthday or tea party? Gather friends to craft? Learn a new skill? Silent read or start a new book club? We are open to any and all ideas and suggestions. This really is a place for YOU!

We have rustic loaves, plain, cheddar, and chocolate chip.
Lemon and banana sweet bread.
Coffee cake slices, cherry and cinnamon streusel.
Blueberry scones, s'mores cookies, and giant triple chocolate chip cookies.
Cinnamon pullaparts are currently in the oven.
