I know, I know… Kneads & Knots is supposed to be all about the BREAD. 🍞😂

This past weekend, I had SO much fun playing around with some seriously delicious flavors!

🐾 Our 2026 Harvest Howler Beneficiary is Jack’s Playground!🐾

Choosing a beneficiary this year was incredibly difficult because so many amazing organizations were submitted, all making a true difference for animals in our communities.

We knew we couldn’t choose based on whose mission was making the biggest impact because the answer was simple: they ALL are. ❤️

We also didn’t want to choose based on the number of nominations. Sometimes newer or smaller rescues may have fewer followers, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t making a HUGE impact. So, we chose to honor them all and left this year’s beneficiary up to luck with a random draw!

We’re so excited to announce that Jack’s Playground Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation was selected! 🌈🐾

Jack’s Playground is a foster based rescue in Southern Wisconsin specializing in neonatal and disabled animals. We’re excited for the opportunity to support the tiny, vulnerable pups and animals who need rehabilitation, extra care and a chance to thrive.

We also want to recognize the incredible organizations nominated:

One thing I’ve learned in this life is that things can change in an INSTANT.

Sometimes there’s no warning, no time to plan, and no perfect way to prepare—you simply adjust, keep moving, and do the best you can with what’s in front of you.

If there’s one thing I’ve always been committed to with Kneads & Knots, it’s showing up and giving you products I’m proud of. You all know me… if a loaf browned a little weird or that bubbly focaccia got a smidge darker than I wanted, it stayed home. 😂 I’ve never been willing to give you something that didn’t meet my standards.

And sometimes, life requires that same mindset. When something isn’t working the way it needs to, you make a change.

So, after a very fast-moving and unexpected week…

🤍 Kneads & Knots is back in HARTFORD! 🤍

And I cannot tell you how happy I am to say that.

Being farther away from the community that has supported this little bakery was harder than I expected. I noticed those little nose scrunches when I mentioned the drive for pickups and off-season ordering 😂—and truthfully, it made me sad too.

But now I’m back in the same town as so many of you, and I’m working my little bread-baking tail off getting everything ready for the off-season!

Even better, my new space came with an awesome enclosed porch that I’ll be turning into a spot for weekly restocks and order pickups. 🥖🎀

There are still boxes to unpack, things to organize, and plenty of flour-dusted chaos happening behind the scenes…but Kneads & Knots isn’t going anywhere.

And through a season that has required a lot of change, YOU have continued to show up for me.

Every market visit. Every order. Every share. Every recommendation. Every kind word. Every bit of patience and grace when life behind the bakery looked a little messy.

“Thank you” doesn’t quite feel big enough, but I’ll keep saying it anyway.

Thank you, from the bottom of my flour-dusted heart. 🤍
