Bagel day🥰
1 1/3 cup of warm water
3 1/2 cups of flour
1tbspn of sugar or honey
1 1/4 tsp salt
2 1/4 tspn of active dry or instant yeast
Add yeast and sugar to a bowl with the warm water(110°f) let sit for ten minutes until bubbly
In another bowl add the salt to the flour and mix well
Add flour to the yeast mixture, mix and knead until smooth
Place back in greased bowl to rise for 60-90 minutes.
Once it's doubled we shape and place in parchment paper.
Let rise while you boill your water (add 2tbspn of baking soda and 2 tbspn of sugar to water)
Boil each bagel 1 -2 minutes on each side then remove and place on wire rack to cool while you do the rest.
Coat each bagel with an egg wash
Top with whatever seasoning you wish and then bake at 425 for 20-23 minutes until golden
